What is your goal? It’s a 5 lug so not sure what you’d want to do with it

I’m still kind of new to the whole car and truck scene so idk what the problem is with a 5 lug but I’d really like to lift it and get some new rims and some bigger tires

Research in Forums, “Suspension” and also see “Wheels and tires”.

Being a 5 lug not sure what you could do besides a oem bedmat, ultimate headlight upgrade, pillar mounted ram mount and maybe fog lights.

Save your money. Refer back to this post in a few years when it doesn’t seem so dumb anymore. I tried haha

There’s nothing wrong with 5 lugs. They have there purpose. But, lifting it and putting on bigger tires will decrease it’s usefulness for it’s intended purpose.

Oh okay thank you for clarifying that for me. Would it be dumb to still do the lift and the tires if I just use the truck to cruise around my town?

You can’t lift it enough to where people will say, “Oh, cool, a lifted Taco”. If you do lift it as high as you can and put big tires on it, it’s going to be a gutless pig, get bad gas mileage, and drive like shit.

I was never thinking of doing something crazy or even very noticeable maybe just a 2 in. lift or even just a level

No problem! Pretty much everyone on here lifts their truck, what’s your budget and what are you planning on doing ? Offroad or mostly pavement ?

Mostly pavement maybe some off road not too sure about that one yet I live in a small town in a desert and I have 2 jobs I just started and don’t really spend money on anything besides gas so I’d say if I save up all my money I’d be able to afford this stuff

Why did you buy the truck? Why do you want to lift it and put big tires on it? It seems obvious it’s all for looks so when you drive down the street people will look at you and say WOW look at that cool guy in that cool lifted big tired truck. Here’s a novel suggestion, leave the truck as it is and just enjoy owning it and driving it. And save a ton of $$$ you can use for something useful.

Man you guys kinda come across as knobs, everyone is new to this and you guys are about as welcoming as a case of the clap.
It’s great this guy wants to lift his truck and do mods.

If your on a budget check out the Bilstein 5100 shocks and check out the threads on here, lots of good info.
