There so many different styles and brands out there it's hard to pick from them all.
the only recommendation I have is to make sure that it goes up to at least 400F
and get one you can cook whole slices of bacon in

Ya I pretty much meant anything most of us buy/own. I'm always like oh this is cool, then I look it up more and find a shinier one and I'm like oh damn I need the shinier one.

For me the biggest thing is how much it can hold. You want a good sized basket. As said above BACON.

There's a lot out there and really majority of them are good, I would recommend getting one with the biggest surface area. My parents have this one and I've used it..highly recommend but I'm going for a Ninja Indoor Grill since i live in an apartment, it's a grill/air fryer combo :spending:

Indeed it's tough to pick one. Especially first time.

As stated avoid any model without a 400°F setting. That is just a non starter.

Take Chinese glowing reviews with a grain of salt. Look for real reviews and comparos. Be prepared for the size of the beast. If you want to cook more than a small handful it takes space. Many have lots of plastic. Not necessarily an avoid warning but in X years....dunno how well they hold up.

You want HEAT and you want it NOW. That is air frying. Too the point of some people saying it burns the food in reviews........then you read further and the reviewer just set a time and walked away. Chef controls the time!

I'll have to try this out. Once of the things I've not liked in the air fryer so far is stuff with flour on it. The flour sort of dries out but stays really white and not appetizing looking.

I use this stuff to make chicken nuggets or chicken strips or battered shrimp and it's fantastic in the deep fryer. If the "air fryer" products work in the air fryer then I'll be happy to avoid the mess of the deep fryer!

One thing about this stuff is that it says to use 1/2 cup of cold water and 5 tablespoons of the mix to make the batter. I use 1/4 cup water and 1/4 cup Frank's Buffalo Sauce. Haha gotta add heat/flavor where ever you can!

This could be interesting like a shake in bake.
Didnt think of this since on side turns out soggy if you dont flip it.
When I did steak or chicken it didnt have that bbq taste so I wont be doing that again.
But this opens up new ideas.
    Thanks

Yours got all messy? Only place we cook bacon anymore is our Air Fryer and outside of the basket no splatter anywhere.

Just FYI.. those items listed as air fried in the frozen section seem to be more expensive
