Right, though TN whiskey meets all the technical requirements to be a bourbon, the charcoal filtration step is unique and classifies it differently with the TTB. It's a technical distinction and a somewhat touchy one at times, haha.

It's more "bourbon can't be called TN whiskey because it doesn't have that step."

I don't think the charcoal filtration precludes it from being a bourbon. It's a distinction to have a unique market position

I'm also starting to feel the bourbon discussion should migrate elsewhere ... Haha

I would have thought that Illinois would have some sort of weight or size requirement.

I waded through the Illinois Motor Vehicle Code that I had linked to earlier (now that I'm fully awake). All I could find was that the following are exempt:

    (3) Any special mobile equipment as herein defined; (couldn't find the definition, but this might possibly include cement mixers and log splitters)

    (7) Any converter dolly or tow dolly which merely serves as substitute wheels for another legally licensed vehicle. A title may be issued on a voluntary basis to a tow dolly upon receipt of the manufacturer's certificate of origin or the bill of sale; (I suppose one could argue that this includes motorcycle trailers)

I need to talk to a cop. Got errands to run later, one stop is next to a Dunkin' Donuts*. I'll pop in there.

    * - Seriously. I'll be out and about during their shift change. The ones going on duty stop in for coffee first.

As I understand it, the same is true here in NC. Unless it's a pig cooker. They are specifically exempt.

And no pig cookin' is complete without some fine Tennessee Whiskey.

What’d you use to paint em? Did you do a light sanding of the clear coat, first?

Pretty cool day ! i got my set off Quick Fists to finish my shovel/axe mounts....I also got my 2nd Tsunami Compressor. Im gonna see if I can pull of that 2 compressor + tank air system Ive seen. If it doesnt work out i have a back up compressor , hehe. BUT, the great news is my SOS sliders are ready to ship ! That is the coolest news ever , we are half way there. I also got this Lamin-X yellow (crap i think) to try to put on my fog lights. If that doesnt work Im gonna just cave in and get those amber squadrons to relieve my pain. Have a kick ass evening Tacoma Fam !

David Allen Coe, then George Jones, and then Chris Stapleton. All good, but I like Chris version the best.

Had my Redline Tuning gas struts on the porch waiting for me when I got home. These mark the first official cuts into the truck outside of the holes in the rain gutter weather stripping for the roof rack earlier this week. Give me time... I have to start slowly. I followed the directions almost to a tee, but deviated a bit by pre-drilling the holes in the fender for the ball mounts. I also gave a few small sprays of touch-up paint into all of the holes and hit them with a heat gun prior to riveting the mounts onto the hood and fenders. Looking great!
