I looked at those! Im going to probably get a custom made one in Aluminum made from a local buddy. He made my sliders and does very good work.

Hey guys, dont mind me butting in but im thinking of doing 5.29's on my R156F 2.7 3rd gen and was wondering if thats going to be overkill. Not many 3rd gens with the manual/2.7 combo so info over there is pretty sparse. (I have some extra weight but plan on adding more :ballchain:) oh, and im running 265/75r16's

Not over kill at all. You would greatly like it. I know some guys who run 4.88 on the v6 stock and say it’s perfect. So 5.29 on th 4 stock would give you tones of power

I prefer having a short gear ratio anyways so i'll probably end up going 5.29s, I was just afraid because I don't really plan on going up in tire diameter but hey, if I feel its got "too much gearing" then i'll just go up to skinny 33's... not like thats a problem... hah

The rule of thumb is usually 5.29 for all 3rd gens, 4.88 for auto 2nd gens

When gears were starting to come on scene everyone jumped on em and did the 4.88s, then it seemed like everyone was like, mannn I should have waited when the 5.29s came about. Luckily, I was too broke to jump on the bandwagon hah

I think youll dig the 5.29s. Especially if you ever step up to 33s. Im running 5.29s and a 33.23" tire and there is plenty of power compared to stock. I do turn about 3250 rpms at 75mph, but its worth it to me to have things a good bit peppier. I had 4.88s with the same size tires prior to this and regeared to 5.29s. Long story short, my vote is for 5.29s and call it a day

    Evenin Joey!
    Evenin Jon!
    Evenin Sohail!
    Evenin Matt!
    Evenin Josh!

Sorry man, just now going thru here. Yes ill trade, but im not sure youd want to tbh. Mine have started condensating some in them lately and im not sure why. Something is wrong as far as the seal goes. Might be able to dry em out and seal it up with silicone, but i 100% understand if you arent interested in trading since they arent perfect

edit: i think i told you this previously, but i dropped the passenger side housing at one point so the top edge of the housing is chipped. That could be the cause of the condensation
