Part of me is intrigued by the thought of picking up a truck far away then having her to myself driving hundreds of miles to get home!

Phoenix showing (7) ORs with MTs:

    https://www.toyota.com/search-inven...transmission/35lv66MT/drive/4x4/cab/doublecab

Just throwing some options out there.

    1. Locate the dealership where the truck is.

    2. Punch in zip code of that dealership in the Costco auto program.

    3. Wait for email confirmation and phone call from the listed salesman in the email.

    4. Negotiate the fixed price and get it in writing, should be $500 or less over invoice. If not then move on and punch in zip code of next nearest dealership into the Costco auto program and start the process over but ask if they can dealer trade for the particular truck you want.

I purchased 2 Toyotas this way, and went thru about 5 or 6 salesman until I found a decent deal.

Just stopped in this morning to talk to my salesperson and the guy that orders or checks what's in the pipeline. He didn't sound too confident that I would see a truck until at least March. They MIGHT get one in December or January with a March delivery time. Tried to tell me someone else has a deposit on an AG MT Pro that is ahead of me. Likely trying to steer me towards an Automatic. They have an unspoken for AT in AG that will be ready to drive off the lot by Thanksgiving.

There is something alluring about that for sure. Lots of seat time in the truck right from the beginning!

Like you I was able to do the same sans the need for a deposit.

    SuperWhite OR DCLB
    Premium
    Advance Tech
    LED Light pkg
    All weather pkg
    Blackout pkg
    Bed Lights

    MSRP: 45,947
    Invoice: 43,022
    Pre TTL: 42,272

    Ordered 10/8
Build date is week of 11/25
Expected delivery first week Jan 2020

Crossing fingers Yota Corporate rolls out some rebates by delivery time to further reduce the current sale price of $750 below invoice. This along with any other reductions I can manage to negotiate before picking it up.

Its worth the wait, they build manuals in batches so sometimes it can take awhile.

Dealer just called me and said that they have found one with my options (magnetic gray, manual, no desert intake). Should be here (Vancouver, BC) in the first half of December.

Stock AF. My 68 Bronco and 2000 2.5RS get the mods.
Heard mine was built but still at the factory almost two weeks ago. They estimated mid December for actual delivery. I do have 3 port options on it, I expect there's a time delay there too. My main delay was getting a white dcsb 6mt with the led headlights. Dealers near me have 6 or so that are what I want minus the headlights. Seeing them out now makes me glad I waited. Plus as stated above, the incentives are starting to trickle out.

Great choice to hold out for - the LED headlights are incredible, best on any vehicle I’ve ever had! Maybe I’ll take a pic tonight and post it.

Nothing better than waiting for the EXACT truck you have been dreaming about. I waited 10-months for a new vehicle once and changed the exterior color 4x:)

I went to local dealer 10/08/2019 and cut deal, for a TRD Sport 2020 DCLB AT. VooDoo Blue only problem is 2 where on the whole East coast, and they where spoken for, then came 10/18/2019 and I was called by sales Rep and told they had located it Via California, a dealer in California needed a Corolla from my dealer for one of their customers, and California had my truck, so they did a allocation swap,, so the Corolla gos to Cal, and the Taco comes to PA, my truck has a build date of 11/23/2019. Sales rep has been ok, just pray and you will get it!!

I had ordered a loaded 2020 Offroad manual last week, but I canceled it because I was having 2nd thoughts about the manual. I currently have a Frontier Pro4x manual and I had a Colorado manual before that. I didn't do any serious offroading in those trucks, but I definitely will be with this next one and I think I want the features (crawl control, MTS) that only come with the auto. These trucks are so damn expensive and I don't want to regret not getting those features. I love manuals, been driving them for over 30 years, but trying to do any real technical offroading with a manual is pure hell, I've seen plenty of lifelong manual drivers struggle with it. So I'm leaning toward an auto this time, despite its reputation for gear hunting, but that's nothing re-gearing to 4.88s or 5.29s can't fix.

Anyway, I'm thinking long and hard on it, because I expect this to be the very last truck I ever purchase and I don't want to have any regrets.
