Bookers and Eagle Rare are delicious. I'm partial to the latter.

It's good. Very!! I love the high proof Bourbons but for some reason they don't love me. Even a single pour (1 oz) or so seems to dry me out the next morning. So I've started adding a little water to them reducing the proof probably down to around 105-108.
    Cures the problem. Strange...

Went to a cold wet football game yesterday so naturally I took a big flask of Buffalo Trace bourbon cream to go with hot chocolate. Not nearly as cold or wet today but enjoying some more now.

Stopped by a local ABC store that I had never been in before the other day. Bout 7-8 minutes from my house. It's on the side of town I rarely get around to. I walked around checking everything out and didn't see anything that really tickled my fancy. I was just about to leave
when this on the end on an isle caught my eye. $49 for the Stagg Jr. and $36 for he McKenna BIB

In all honesty, I have no idea what kind of bourbon is good, or what I would like. I need a "bourbon tasting" to see what fits my palate, and would like to get some good stuff to share with friends and family this Christmas, not just drink it to get hammered or anything.

I traveled out of state only once this year. I was able to score the A and B 2019 ECBP bottles, but I really had my hopes up to come across some Jr.

In a couple of weeks I'm heading to my brother's wedding in WA, maybe I'll get lucky!

I haven't found many deals like that up here, even if there was the 20% liquor tax would probably negate it anyway... plus $3.77/Liter flat tax on top of that.

As long as I can find it under 75 bucks I'll be happy. Can't find it here at all. Last time I was able to "buy" it I had to trade a bottle of OWA107 plus 20 bucks.

I'm flying to Seattle and then driving to Bellingham. It's a very quick trip so I doubt I'll have time to look around much. Know of anyplace up there I should try to check out?

I don't know of many places up in Bellingham, I'm about a third of the way up on the trip from Seattle to Bellingham. With all liquor sales privatized it can be a crap shoot with lots of little liquor stores all over the place now. I would imagine there are at least a couple good places up that way though.

I wasn't a huge fan of the OBSQ. I'll seek out a different recipe next time.
