Here’s my Silver Sky Tacoma. Looking to upgrade rims SCS Ray 10 and possibly the Fox Level one kit suspension. Got some fog lights with amber Lumin-x I’m going to add on sometime this week.

 

I had my ride height adjusted up 1” in front today, for some added weight and rubbing. Leveled her out some and made my 285’s look like 265’s, kinda!

 

Excellent choice of wheels, looks great.

You bet! I went with the Smittybilt X2O 10k w/syn rope. Man, the toughest part, believe it or not, was getting the 2 front winch mount bolts and nuts into place and threaded, big hands don’t help in this case! The next toughest was leaving enough of the fascia after trimming to avoid the gaps where the fender meets the bumper, used my old Dremel with cutting wheel. The distance on the top is also important if you have the bull bar option, too wide and bar prevents good fitment. Also, didn't know if I could lift the whole mess by myself, place it on the studs and hold it there long enough to get a couple of nuts stated. Getting the bull bar made it possible to lift it, keep it level and just walked it right on studs, duck soup!

Having help for that would have helped otherwise, I was looking at making a wood jig to level it and strapping it to a floor jack to support it. Big DIY for me with lots of satisfaction!


Edit: PS. also raised the ride height 1” for the extra weight! Good luck with your!

 

Thank you so very much. Yeah I'm very mechanically inclined but worried about the cutting/trimming of the bumper. I've heard numerous people bring up how difficult it is to mount the winch due to no access. I have sausage fingers so I'm in for some fun there.

Just picked her up. 2020 DCSB TRD OR. V6/Auto 4X4. Traded in my 2017 BBP SR5 for it. I really like the way the black on the fender flares and emblems contrast with the SSM.
And the updated head unit is a welcome upgrade.

 

Waiting on the rims to arrive, got a set of black Ray 10s, with Nitto Ridge Grapplers. The Toyota parts guy sent me this pic. Funny you say that about the SR5 rims. The first week I had my truck a guy at my local car wash said if I ever wanted to sell them to let him know lol. Pretty good chance I’ll keep them. Good to have a spare set of wheels. Finally got the fog lights installed. Really like the amber!
