Leaf TSB for Tacoma but I already have a level?

Will this ruin my truck? I have the level kit already on it? I dont want to have issues with handling and so on because I haul up to 700 lbs when I travel but I also dont want to ruin the work already done. What are my options

What 'level kit' do you have? Is it an AAL?

 

I am interested because I am noticing that when I take my dogs out to run and bring all our gear that at highway speeds the truck feels low low low in the rear and almost like the front left wheel is floating. Then when we sleep in the back even with my lift level kit I almost hit the wheels on the top of the fender well..

 

Ok...so what leveling kit do you have now?

 

Truxx front and rear + diff drop.

How much lift do you have in the rear? Is it a 3" block lift?

If you have a 3" block in the rear, I would not go with the TSB because the TSB will give you an additional 1" of lift in the rear. That's a bit high and unstable (paticularly with 3" block).

Either leave it alone

OR

Get the TSB leaf pak and a Toytec Add-a-leaf.

 

I have a 3" in front and a 1.5" in the back.

Ditch the block and get the TSB + an AAL. That will stiffen up the rear so it doesn't sag.

 

Any benefit in performance or comfort going with the aal?

 

GET IT DONE,,,I live in WV,,farm and travel off-road every day...Had it done two weeks ago,,picked up good inch in body clearence,,,BETTER OFF ROAD RIDE,,,and carries a load much better!! My dealer tried to talk me out of it,,,it was a 2200$ upgrade,,,AND I LOVE IT,,,I have large water breaks on some of my mountain roads on the farm,,,mud flaps drug before the TSB,,NOW THEY DONT,,,best wva jim

It's going to be less comfortable, because it will be stiffer. If comfort is the most important thing to you, you'll have to deal with the sag you have now.

 

The main thing I am looking for is load carry performance and ride performance, but was just asking about comfort because of the block vs extra spring. I know with the block it doesnt change anything other than height.

 

The AAL will give you more load carry performance, but at the expense of a stiffer ride.

 

Awesome, stiff ride is no big deal, its a truck lol.
