So fishing today was cool. Rained pretty good then started to taper off towards the afternoon. My father caught two and once again, nothing for me. 4th trip out last several weeks and nothing. :frusty:

Was worried about the Leer cap, after removing the roof rack to do the lighting - today was a good test to see if I had any leaks since it would be sitting for most of the day. Nothing but around the cap door (typical). Overall a good day.

i am honestly surprised that there are no other complaints on the 1st gen section about noisy chatter in the ventilation system!
it seems to be more aggressive with the heater on than when the AC was on
gotta figure out what it is going on and how to attack it around the weather

Are you sure it's the vents. You have an early truck with a speedometer cable. Mine makes all kinds of racket when it's cold

its most likely the vents somewhere because I can make it go away when closing the fresh air slider lever to the recirculated air
i prefer to drive on the highway with fresh air so i don't have to turn the fan on to keep warm
its a very NOISY racket at highway speeds with wind and everything

it only started this past year

Oh yeah, everything from repeated tapping/clicking to straight up high pitched squealing. My grey truck used to squeal hardcore, on cold mornings my white one clicks. Funny thing is my 1993 Land Cruiser and my 1987 300ZX both have electric speedometers but my newest vehicle the 1996 Tacoma doesn't :/

i don't like the noise, i do not drive with the radio loud and enjoy the quiet humming of the engine and road noise
the wind flapping in the vents drives me batkrap crazy!

Just get really aggressive tires so the road noise is louder then the rest of the noises
