OFFICIAL XB LED HEADLIGHTS THREAD 16+

@TRSAndrew - my order was involuntarily refunded last week and I have yet to receive the funds.

I checked with @eledobleu and was informed that this is in the hands of TRS for the refund.

When can I expect the full refund on these?

 

Ordered on Saturday, fogs and headlights shipped yesterday. I'm still waiting for other vendors to ship items I ordered Friday. Great job TRS!

 

I thought the Meso turn signals had built in resistors....?

 

They do, that's why I had to take the resistors off when I installed them

 

Did the load resistors work?

 

@MESO - I have your v1 mirror lights, are your current mirror lights brightness much higher so they can match or be close to the drl's on these new housings?

 

If you ordered from Retrofit Wholesale then they are issuing the refund. If you ordered through TRS then they'll issue the refund. I'm assuming you ordered from Retrofit Wholesale so pm your order number and I'll check the status of your refund

 

Get The V4's should match better.

The color is close, but still they are behind a smoked tint where as XB's are behind clear. So that will skew the color slightly.

 

That's ok and I figured that, just wanted something brighter. Any ideas if you are going to do switchbacks again?

 

...Hmmm... well, if the meso turns have built-in resistors, wonder why you're getting hyperflashing? Pardon my ignorance, but do you have to have 2 resistors if you have multiple LED bulbs on the turn signal circuit?

I ask b/c I have MESO tail light kit (the bulb-swap only one, no modification of the tail lights were required). I also have the MESO turn signal lights. Now I have the Morimoto XB headlights coming. Just wondering if I'm going to have similar issues with that setup.

@MESO - any thoughts? I didn't bother getting resistors with my tail lights as I had read that the turns had them built in. I had no problems with anything (top notch, BTW).

 

Yes. Morimoto is actually helping in the design for the new switchbacks. No ETA

@ratcityrain - thanks again! I'll keep an eye on it (obviously) when I get the XBs installed.

Is it still possible to bypass the sequential turns of the XB headlights? I think in MESO's write up, he mentioned a plug that could be connected to make the turns function without the sequential lighting aspect. I think I may actually prefer just a normal flash

 

What version waa just on sale for black Friday?

That's probably my biggest gripe with the site is I know there's a ton of revisions of everything with small or big differences among them but it's not always clear what is in stock at any time. I'd assume the newest but then I'm not sure.

 

Yes, you can choose whether or not to have sequential signals. There is a plug on back of housings and by default it ships plugged in which is no sequential. If you want sequential, you just unplug the connector and done.

 

I have Meso's stage 1 tails and his turn signals and have no hyperflash with my XB headlights with the resistors that came with the tails.

 

Good to know. May have to get resistors if I get hyper flash.
