Canada suspects launched marijuana, meth into jail using potato gun: police

    potato-gun-saskatoon.jpg
Two Canadians were arrested after police suspected the pair of loading drugs into a potato gun cannon and launching them into a correctional facility, authorities said.

The 18-year-old man and 29-year-old woman, whose names have not been released, were caught Sunday in front of the Saskatoon Provincial Correctional Center in Canada’s Saskatchewan province, the Saskatoon Police Service said in a news release.

They were found with 28 grams of cannabis, three grams of cannabis shatter and seven grams of crystal meth, police said. A “potato gun cannon” was also in their possession, which investigators believed the pair were using to shoot the drugs over the facility’s fence.

The suspects tried to flee in a white Chevrolet van during the arrest, but were caught again after crashing into three police vehicles, the service said. No one was injured in the collision.

The woman was charged with multiple counts of drug trafficking and distribution, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and evading police.

The man faced charges of trafficking crystal methamphetamine and distribution of cannabis to an institution.

Basically the crack cocaine of cannabis. They use a solvent to separate the oils and pure terpenes from the plant matter, then they evaporate the solvent so all that is left is an amber like substance that is sometimes very hard like glass. Where the flower itself is typically around 20% THC, shatter is more like 90% THC.

When you have a job interview... but your assistant gets hired... Doh!

New Redskins wide receiver credits Colin Kaepernick workout for giving him another shot at NFL

The defining moment of Colin Kaepernick’s long-awaited, hotly debated workout last month was a deep ball down the left sideline that sailed through the Georgia sky and landed 50 yards away in the hands of a little-known wide receiver named Jordan Veasy.

The home run ball spread on TV and social media, amassing millions of views. Supporters of Kaepernick pointed to it as evidence the quarterback still had it, while critics noted the bare-bones facilities and lack of defense. In the end, the workout didn’t immediately change Kaepernick’s job status, but Veasy thinks it changed his.

Veasy said he believes that Kaepernick’s situation — including the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback’s fight against racial injustice — has an impact that goes beyond just football. But he also knows that were it not for that workout, the Washington Redskins might not have signed him to their practice squad Wednesday.

“It helped,” the 24-year-old said. “That’s one of the reasons I wanted to be a part of it. Just being a part of the history of it, and I knew it was going to help me.”

Veasy knew Kaepernick before the Nov. 16 workout. The two had taken a class about black representation in popular culture together a few years earlier at the University of California at Berkeley. Veasy was playing for the Golden Bears, and Kaepernick, then with the 49ers, was auditing the course. That slight familiarity emboldened Veasy to reach out to Kaepernick’s agent last month when the NFL announced it would be holding a workout for him in Atlanta.

Veasy was looking for a way back into the NFL because, weeks earlier, the Buffalo Bills had released Veasy off their practice squad. It was the fourth team he had failed to stick with since he went undrafted in 2018, and the wide receiver returned home to Gadsden, Ala. He was working out and running routes when he heard the news of Kaepernick’s workout. Gadsden is only a two-hour drive from Atlanta.

The receiver drove over the state line for a pre-workout, and he said Kaepernick’s “live arm” impressed him. The initial plan had been for the workout to be held at the Atlanta Falcons’ facility, but after a late change to Charles R. Drew High in Riverdale, Ga., only seven teams ended up having representatives present.

Still, the workout was “pretty intense,” Veasy said, and as he looked into the stands from the field, he recognized Richard Mann II, the Redskins’ assistant director of pro personnel, from his pro day in 2018.

“I was going to be in Gadsden running routes anyway,” Veasy said, grinning. “Might as well run 'em in front of some scouts.”

Opportunity came quickly. The Cleveland Browns flew him in nine days later, but he left without a firm contract. Then everything went quiet until the Redskins called this week. They had a spot open on their practice squad, and they offered it to him without a workout. What he had shown on a field in Georgia a few weeks earlier was enough.

Veasy can only explain his journey one way: “It was surreal,” he said.

Why are we in this handbasket and where are we going?

Man Suggests Polyamory to Future Wife — Now She’s Pregnant With Her Third Lover’s Baby

A polyamorous Jacksonville, Florida woman who discovered she was pregnant seven months ago has revealed plans to raise the child alongside all four of her male romantic partners.

“Chris is the biological father. We just know that because of timing and when the approximate conception date was,” Tory Oveda told Barcroft TV in an interview posted to YouTube on Wednesday. “Based off of the approximate conception day, we had been on vacation. So it was only us.”

Oveda, 20, is currently dating Marc, 22, Travis, 23, Ethan, 22, and Chris, 22.

“The relationship could best be described by, Tory is the hub and the rest of us are the spokes,” Ethan told Barcroft TV.

Oveda revealed that it was her current fiance’s idea to bring more men into their relationship.

Travis, who is engaged to Oveda, doesn’t mind all that much that his soon-to-be-wife is pregnant with another man’s baby, although he does confess to feeling jealous about having to vie for her attention.

“We have a tendency to talk around the moment of, ‘hey, I need some time with Tory,’ rather than actually saying it outright,” he admitted.

Travis told Barcroft TV it is harder for him to deal with his fiance’s relationship with Chris.

“It was a lot more jealousy,” he said.

Although they have Oveda’s blessing to do so, none of the boys has found a romantic partner outside of the relationship.

“Honestly, I would love it if somebody found a second partner,” Oveda confessed. “Dividing time between all five people and making sure everyone feels included is kind of difficult.”

Asked whether he would consider having a relationship with Chris, Ethan or Marc, Travis replied by saying he was “open to” the possibility.

“I’m open to it. But I’m not gonna go after it. I know Ethan and I sorta tried back in high school and that flopped really fast,” Travis revealed.

As far as the latest addition to Oveda’s polyamorous family, who is due to be born in February, she insists “we’re all raising the baby together.”

“So, everyone’s dad,” she told Barcroft TV.

    Sex positivity gone too far?

LGBT, sex-positive and feminist movements have in recent years expanded the spectrum of relationships and sexual behavior seen in society.

As offshoots of progressive ideology, each movement has grappled fiercely with traditional and conservative values, which have arguably been eroded in American culture.
Some on the right have called on their peers to push back against progressivism more vigorously, even questioning whether the classical liberal framework that underpinned conservative ideology for so many years is sufficient to address what they perceive as a cultural crisis.

Truer words have never been written!

Not my thing either. Too labor intensive and too much necessary gear to even smoke it that way. I'd much rather do it the old fashion way.
