You’re trying to remove the ADD gear stub? They say you can use two pry bars but I never got it to work. I took the clamshell apart and hammered it out through the ring gears with a long 1/4 extension.

Sometimes the complimentary factors of our significant others really come through in spots we don't expect. My GF sounds like your wife; our apartment would be in shambles if she didn't help me with it :rofl::rofl: Glad to hear it all worked out!

I tried a slide hammer and a 56” pry bar. I spun the CVs but can’t do a full turn. Had my buddy pry on one side while I was on the other.

The OEM CV on the driver side of the diff has the normal tab you can put a big screwdriver against and hammer at. But the passenger CV is aftermarket and just a cylinder.

I had that issue with the stupid Duralast aftermarket CV I put in on the drivers side over summer. Took me awhile to pop that fucker out. I eventually was able to wedge a crow bar in-between it and the diff just enough to pop it out. But it took a long time and I scuffed up the diff pretty good doing it. I'll never put one of those kinds of CVs in again.

    Interesting.

I've had stubborn ones before and I put a short (12-18") pry bar between the CV and axle and hit it with a dead blow, rotate 1/3 turn, and repeat til the thing let go

Being that there is no rational reasoning to you not getting into these places, I'm gonna chalk it up to the universe helping you dodge some bullets. What else could it be?

yeah she's super good at that stuff, and it's the same for me...our house would look empty and character-less if it wasn't for her. I don't have an interior decorating bone in my body, she's all about that stuff though

She always asks my opinion on stuff before she gets it or puts it up and I'm like..."meh? looks great to me"

gets her pretty frustrated sometimes haha

Dude, one of biggest 'pros' I miss about being married is my wife freaking had all that stuff/crap so organized and put together... I hate having to stay on top of that crap. I just wanna work and make the money, not have to worry about bills and payments and all that garbage. Big reason why I don't have any debt or bills. I despise having to stay on top of that kinda stuff
