Okay- Now you are bring ridiculous. Don't tell me you care about other peoples feelings on how they are referred to after the posts you put up here.

Give up the ghost man- You still haven't provided any sources for "matter of fact" about the majority of the American people disapproving of gay/lesbian lifestyles. You apparently have no basis for a thought of your own about gays in the military except for your intense hatred of folks who live differently than you do and some quotes from other people who disagree with the repeal of the DADT policy. You've got nothing except a bigots mindset and....well...that's it.

The limp wrist flamer types are not the ones that are going to enlist in the military.. that is like saying a prisey princess beauty queen females shouldnt be in the military bc they will break a nail.. Neither one of them would ever join the service.. sure a few might but they never last long, or they will change.

as for the Al Queda making fun of us for being gay.. obviousley you have never been to the middle east or read anything about their culture.. They are the biggest butt pirates that ever sailed the rainbow seas.. The people of the middle east believe that Women are for children and their Neighbor (Men) are for pleasure... I know alot of people that had to do observation duty on Middle eastern contractors and would often catch the kissing, holding hands and even caught some of the packin Falafels

I am not nor have I served in the military, so I will leave my opinion out. But I do work on/in a military installation (Air Force) and work side by side with active duty and retired, mostly officers and from my observation and discussions with them, they are overwhelming in favor of the repeal of DADT. Many that I have discussed with have served in Iraq and their opinions have not changed even after deployment. Obviously, it is a very small sample of people in the military, but still has some weight. I have spoken with a Capt. that served in Iraq, we are close friends, and she was in the Army before the AF, but she says the sentiment is very different in the Army, but still some are for the repeal. BTW, from the retired military that I have spoken to they are from Navy, Marines and Air Force and they are all for it except one retired Navy sub guy. Just my observations. :)

and if any of your kids are gay, i'm sure they will be repressed and hate you for having living a lie until you pass so that they can be themselves and have to live up to your "standards". congrats on possibly giving your children a childhood they wish thay never had. i know this b/c it has and still is happening to a cousin of mine. same as another cousin of mine that had to hide her relationship from her mom b/c it was with a black guy.

I said I would consider going gay so I could get abs -- which is a tongue-in-cheek remark about how many gay men have good abdominal muscles, and was a sarcastic method of implying that becoming homosexual was an easier way to get a washboard stomach than a workout regimen. Which is obviously false.

But attempting to read your posts, I'm coming to the conclusion you have issues with sentence structure, grammar and linguistic techniques.

My service record has no bearing on this forum.

dont remove a person for his position on an issue, just like how we dont want gays removed from the military for their sexual orientation

Idk, I mean I can see what your talking about, bt I bet if I went into a thread about "Race" and spouted off and said I hate colored people and came up with all kinds of stereotypes as excuses for why didn't like them I would be called a racist, Nazi or Clan member and get hit with the hammer or feel the boot

I imagine we could always just have a normal conversation around him.

Just don't respond to any of his posts/remarks, and he'll go away.

I think we've all come to the conclusion he's not changing his mind, so there's no real reason to include him in discussion. However, that shouldn't let other people from having a rational talk.

I am still interested to hear what our service personnel have to say on the matter, myself.

Are you talking about this sort of stuff:

I don't think it's the fact that he has a different opinion, but rather the fact that he was so unapologetically offensive about it with almost everything he had to say.

I haven't had time to read the entire thread, don't have the time.

I don't have a problem with Gays, or with them getting married, I actually think they should have that right and I believe it is a right. But I don't think it should be called marriage.
So what I'm basically trying to say is that I don't have a problem with them, but I don't agree with openly Gay people serving.
It could cause some service members to become less effective on the battlefield. Knowing that the guy you sleep next to, shower next to, spend time in a fox hole next to, is Gay.

I think we should keep it the way it is for now, "don't ask, don't tell" policy. Maybe our wonderful Government and members in D.C. can bring it up some other time besides now, and maybe focus on more important issues like our rising dept, loss of jobs, loss in value of the dollar, lack of border security, Social security in the hole (no pun intended), bad testing from our schools, you know....things like that.

Please don't quote me, I don't want to get into an argument with someone with opposing views, just would like to say what I think. Thanks.
