    This. 90 RON = the 87 (RON+MON)/2

But yes agreed, looking at logs, the timing of the stock maps are pretty much as advanced as can be with possibly too much in the mid range, things seem to work better when the base maps allow knock detection to advance up on their own.

If anyone needs TRD tune conversions, I’ll do 2005+ ECUs for $75 plus return shipping.

Included: VIN change to match your vehicle if using a junkyard ECU.

Just got mine in the mail today! Xmas present from the wife.

    IMG_20191205_211547_MP.jpg

So, @JustDSM what are the steps I need to take to get a tune from you for my setup. My hopeful plan is to run your tune, go to the local Dyno shop to see what it'll do, and fine tune it from there.

    2. Install latest beta software.
    3. Plug in
    4. License truck to MPVI2 with 4 universal credits
    5. Read truck.
    6. Talk to JustDSM and end up sending stock file to JustDSM for him to sprinkle some magic on it after paying in agreed upon favors

6a. If auto, feel free to hit me up and we can easily discuss wants, needs, desires of how you want the trans to behave like the good lil submissive slave that it should be.

EDIT - *Looks over at the A750 in my truck, "honey i dont mean it like that, you are beautiful just the way you came, you have to agree that therapy helped though..."*

Made it a little closer. Was able to read and download the read. Then kept getting this error message when I try to open it. Sent what I was able to download to Justin in Hopes he can sprinkle some magic that I so desperately need. 20191205_200935.jpg

Ahhh shit. 4 credits? I only got the 2... :pout:

It's an auto. But I'm good with my trans as of now. I'm running an IPT valve body so I prefer the mechanical aspect of it vs software. Unless they can play nicely together. But.. from past experiences it may be best to leave that one alone and just let the upgraded springs and solenoids do their thing. It hasnt flinched in the 5 years of running it. It's a beast.

I'll get going on the updates and getting it setup, then reach out to @JustDSM

    Appreciate it.

Trans changes are to shift points and tcc lockup points. IPT essentially increases clamping power not necessarily when the trans events occur.

So I have the stock .bin file pulled from my hilux (magically ;)) I do know that not all Hilux's are CAN bus OBD2 interface, I wonder if that's the hold up from HP tuners. Bitbox, Dimsport and Alientech can all ready and write, its just the map editing that sucks.

What order did those appear? Looks like the tune file is downloaded (The second image you posted is the "Virtual Read" notice and is 100% normal). But the first image is no-Bueno. That's going to require @HPTuners to address. I've noticed a few of the newer vehicles they've released support for (Subaru specifically) show the same definition error. Give them a shout (again..) and let them know that you're experiencing that error.

Double check that your using the latest Beta (at least the version they suggested earlier or later).

If you'd like, email me the stock calibration file that you downloaded (file with .hpt extension) and as soon as the definition is corrected, I'll whip up the tune with a little secret sauce and get it back to you ASAP.
