I've done 2 left hand U turns on very busy highways the last two days. I am happy to report the transmission did not commit attempted murder on me or anyone else.

The way this "problem" appears to work is:

If someone thinks they have the problem, then they have it.
If someone thinks they don't have the problem, then they don't have it.

Regearing might change the way someone thinks, so it may fix the problem.

Hey, I love spam. You fry it until it gets browned good on both sides, and serve it on an English muffin with a fried egg. Hard to beat ! :spam:

Not related, but can't resist....I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

I've had a similar experience... I tend to use the ECT mode whenever I need to make near blind turns.

I gave up on V6's. Been there, done that. The 4.7 isn't the greatest small V8 but it don't need tweaking to get low end torque, good fuel mileage.

OV 93 tune, TRD pro intake, LED headlights, LED interior lights, tuffskinz interior overlays "RCF", tailgate inlay, Illuminated kickplates, blue interior compartment inlays. Painted voodoo blue interior trim, nitto ridge grapplers, bara 1 inch spacers, redline pro hood struts, trd oil and radiator caps.
The trd pro tundra is 5 inches taller than the tacoma. It wouldnt fit in my garage with my floating trusses. The shark fin on the taco clears the garage door when it's up by only about 1.5 inches. Floating trusses allow me to not have any support columns but also lowers the ceiling height due to how big the trusses are. It's a house over top of a 3 car garage built into a hill. Had it not been for that I may have a tundra.

Isn't the Tundra getting a turbo'd V6 in 2021? It appears the 4.7 V8 will be going out also that year. Source Link

The F150 2.7L is one hell of a solid V6 with great low end torque.

Same problem here. Is this not supposed to be a concern? It can happen when you pull out to pass a slower moving vehicle. I bought a dashcam so my wife can sue Toyota when I am killed by this. As long as it doesn't burn in the fire. Has anyone spoken to a lawyer about this?

Why would you keep driving a vehicle you feel isn't safe?

I am asking myself that question. This seems like a safety hazard and Toyota should fix it. I guess I can hand it off to some other unsuspecting sucker.

I know if I felt unsafe driving a vehicle I'd get rid of it asap. Especially if I was worried about dying in a fiery car crash.
