I’m pretty sure the manual recommends changing the 4.0l every 30k (which I’ve been doing) due to using ngk V plugs (copper core) Which were stock in my motor. I’m almost at 90k an will be changing them soon. The last two times I changed them the V at the tip of the electrode was almost gone. If anything it helps stop carbon build up due to poor ignition.

I go to the dealer to pickup mine....meets or exceeds requirements. The dealer here is very competitive with pricing as well. A win, win!

LOL, This is and has always been a Deeply personal and emotional subject, What brand, What type, use anti seize or not, it goes on and on. Everyone who contributes, is sincere and sharing based on there own personal experience and what they have had the best luck with. I came up threw the 60's everything that came from Asia had NGK, My Triumph came with Champion, My Camaro had AC, Starting in the mid 70's it became clear that the NGK offered more longevity between changes, Make your own history of experiences.
    Good luck

Changed mine and half were NGK and half were Denso. No BS there. Schedule says every 30k. Not sure if they use anti seize from the factory but they weren’t hard to get out. I used it when I reinstalled. Double check your gaps and use a factory spec plug if you’re going to follow the maintenance schedule. You’d be wasting money otherwise. Hand tight and a quarter turn with a wrench if you don’t have access to a torque wrench. Don’t use a cheap torque wrench from harbor freight either, no telling what you’d be putting them under.

Running Denso Iridium TT with a small dab of permatex anti seize. So far so good. Nothing unusual.

Anti seize can and will foul plugs if you put to much on. I typically put it on few dabs and then wipe a cloth over it and spread it around and wipe off access at the same time.

IF the plugs that came out were still a little wet with anti-seize, I put even less on or none at all.

Do not run Iridium! Heat is your enemy with aluminum. I've explained this numerous times on TW, use the search button :)

    Hey Joseph,
The heat range of my Iridium plugs are the same as the stock copper plugs. I'll do a search and see what I find. Thank you.
