    Anyone here ever install a compressor in their truck? My buddy gave me a viair compressor off of an ambulance that I'd love to install, but it's got a 45 amp fuse on it and I don't know a damn thing about electrics, so I'm not even sure I can use it. Anyone got any advice?

    (For clarity, he lives near an ambulance building company and the very first thing they do before building the ambulance is to swap out the stock compressor for a bigger more powerful one, and these stock stainless steel compressors literally get thrown on the scrap heap behind the building. So this did not come off of a working ambulance. That'd be pretty messed up.)

    Morning.

    Fate is playing nice. Apparently finally with @Skierrichy (welcome back) & with me too.
    Wed. I went to meet the recycling truck knowing he wouldn't be there... & he was there. Cool, not a time waste.
    Wed. night the music CD I ordered which seemed lost in transit showed up.
    Thursday I got stuck on I-84 on my way to work - 20 minutes from X8 to X9, but I got to explore my new CD - so all good.
    Thurs. work wasn't annoying. Then other work wasn't annoying. Got out early, got home early.
    Thurs night a box was waiting on the porch. Turns out it's the Fluid Film spray cans I ordered. That was FAST.
    So maybe before work Saturday, or on Sunday it will be windless enough to address the trucks?

    Every once in awhile fate plays nice. I'm on a streak! :)

    Happy Friday all!

    Here's how I would wire it: off of the battery + terminal to the fuse then to the contact side of a relay then to the compressor. Ground from compressor to any good metal ground or back to - side of battery. Another circuit from switched power that turns off with the key to a 3 amp fuse to a switch to the coil side of the relay. Other coil terminal on relay to a ground.

    Frame update!! Truck went under the knife on Tuesday AM and I picked it up at 3 today!!! Drives like new! Tight like a tigah! Paint on the frame seems more robust than the original but it might just be how it looks when it’s never seen salt ever. So, when’s the next fluid film party????

    @santas212
    What dealer did your frame?

    Inquiring minds want to know.

    My 2013 passed.Now wait for the CRC crap to complete the process.

    @surfandturf has been doing Fluid Film on my truck and it looks brand new.
