I'd wager they need the .bin and if it's written similarly to the Tacoma, the bit addresses should be easy to assign to create the definition file and thus add support. But that's me just spit-balling.

It's worked wonders for everything from totally stock trucks to full builds. Not many folks spend time on the dyno. Most trucks benefit most in RPM/Loads that are under normal use conditions. For stock setups, and even most bolt-ons in a N/A truck there's not a lot to be gained in WOT with pump gas. It's the low end/mid-rage drivability improvements that make this a wonderful tool for your average truck. As you add all the mods that everyone tells you wont make any difference, the sum of the parts combined with the tuning ability offered with HPTuners, you can actually capitalize.

But, coming soon you should see some "big" numbers. There's some folks with setups far outside the norm, that are using HPTuners and I believe you'll see some 400+ whp setups soon.

As good as my truck runs, as intuitive as it shifts, as much as the driving experience has improved after JustDSM and nd4spdbh's handiwork, I could kindly care less of what the dyno numbers say.

    Right on!

So, where would you all suggest to get the credits themselves?

Personally, I'm a fan of getting them direct from the source (HPTuners). The discount that others offer is small enough I'd rather just go direct and not deal with any potential delays. Typically when I'm buying credits I need them at that moment.

On http://www.hptuners.com at the top of the screen, right hand side you'll see "My Account". Click on that and create an account.

Once you've created your account and logged in, you'll see a list of options on the left hand side. Find "My Devices" and click that link.

That'll bring you to a registration page, where you'll want to register your MPVI2 with HPTuners by imputing the requested info there.

Once it's registered, you'll see your device at the bottom of the registration page showing the device serial number, the credits assigned to the device, and so on. Next to the number of credits assigned to the device you'll see a link to "Add Credits". Click that and add two to your cart. Input someone else's credit card (just not mine) and check out. ;)

Once you've completed the purchase, open up the VCM Editor and plug in the MPVI2 to the computer and then go to Help tab, and then "Resync Interface". That'll communicate with HPTuners servers and credit the device with your newly purchased credits.

Unfortunately that is not a PID that has been defined nor do i think there are any pressure sensors to log such things. You have the predefined duty cycle to pressure tables that have been figured out by toyota, then tables that define requested pressures based on accelerator pedal position.

Haha, sounds like someone has a bench harness?

This has been my experience. Like stated before, at WOT on pump gas there really isnt much left on the table, especially on e10 87 octane (RON+MON)/2. We have leaned things out under WOT conditions some which has potentially cracked open a few more NA'd hp.

But the tunes have been SUPER beneficial in driveability, making the truck behave better, feel more lively, be more efficient under load etc etc. I have no regrets!

I know almost nothing about ECM tuning or EFI, where do I go to learn about it well enough to use a service like yours to the most benefit?

Start at the beginning and read through this thread. It'll take you a long time, but it's worth it. There is a wealth of information.

I’ve been a bit tied up but the quest for the NA limit is still there!
