That's cool. I saw those on eBay but I'll just wait for a dealer as I don't trust eBay sellers. But given the auction description I'm sure those are the legit Toyota parts. They are probably stolen from a shipping container or something like that, but I'm sure they are the real deal. lol

I almost never order off eBay for that exact same reason. If there not legit back they go and a refund. Ebay and PayPal does a great job at protecting the buyer for fakes

Well I think that's the problem. They won't plug in on a pre-2020. I presume one could make them work by using the wiring harness from the pre-2020 LED bed light kit and then splice them to the new 2020-style bed lights if they use different plugs? And also would need to cut holes in the bed for the new lights since they mount flush which I think is different from the pre-2020 kit.

Alright, I got pictures of the 2020 Pro grille. Font and back - the bracket is different and it looks like the camera is mounted at a different angle also.
Let me know if you want me to send them to you.

You could certainly wire up the 2020 lights on a 2019 or older Tacoma, but nothing plug and play exists. You could start with the 2016-2019 lighting harness (PT948-35160-AA), and modify it to fit, but it just uses t-taps to connect into the stock wiring, so it doesn't really seem like it would be that much better than just doing the entire thing from scratch. Plus that wiring harness is more expensive than the entire 2020 lighting kit, if you can even get it.

A plug 'n play harness could be made, templates for making the bed cutouts could be made. But it's all a bit of work.

There are 3 different brackets, TRD Sport/Off-Road, TRD Pro, and Limited.

The brackets aren't sold separately, so there are 3 different camera part numbers to match.

Go to the “lighting” forum. Mike is selling conversion harnesses for converting 2016 and up headlights to the 2020 LED headlamps. I did it, Mike sells his harness for $85 shipped to your door. It’s as simple as plug-n-play!

This is unrelated to the current topic, however I'm sure Mike can also make a harness for these lights as well.

That is crazy! Do I even want to know how much a pro camera/ bracket runs?

When I looked into this a while back it was about $405 just for the camera (the part number is in this thread). Add in another $300+ for the OEM grille and nearly $400 for the OEM garnish. I think you also need a different ECU for the PRO camera as well. All told it was looking to be north of $1,200. That’s just way too costly for me, especially with the fact I don’t hate the 2020 Sport grille since now it is dark grey. I’ll still consider a PRO grille if an acceptable knockoff solution is offered, but OEM is not worth it at those costs IMO.

[IMG] I might be the first- I converted my 2020 Off road Grille to a 2020 Grille. Was able to get factory TRD grille insert and Garnish for under $300, the process is straight forward until you get to the camera. The only thing that did not plug and play was the camera bracket, we had to modify the bracket to get it to work. Not a 100% bullet proof mount but it will work. Tested the camera and it all seems to be the same to me. Sorry no pic but in my 51 yrs of life I have never understood how to up load my Mac.

Pretty much as expected. Would be nice to see pics, but I’m sure more people will experiment with it.

I’m glad to hear that you got everything to work. Hopefully someone will develop a aftermarket bracket soon to make this a clean swap. I would love to see/hear more details about how you got the camera/MTM set up.

If anyone with a 2020 Pro would be willing to post pictures of their camera/bracket it would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t see any way the camera picture can still be the same if mounted several inches higher, and especially if re-using the OEM Off Road bracket which puts the camera at a different angle than the OEM PRO mount does. But I’m not sure it matters. As long as you are happy with how the camera functions in the new position then that’s all that matters. I’d be interested in a photo of how the camera picture now looks. If it lines up with where the front bumper is in the OEM screen, etc.

The new grille comes with the camera housing, I cut the bracket in half and turned it upside down then put some foam tape around the camera then screwed it to the grille with the bottom part of the bracket I cut. The camera housing is molded at the angle the camera needs to be. I would love to post pics if someone can tell me how!
