People think auto means step on the gas and go, theres more logic to it than that, and it's been that way for awhile.

Taco build date of August 2019. Never had any shifting issue or any of the stuff I see on TW all the time.

And with that post you will instantly and forever be labeled a fanboy.

I’ll let you in on the TW secret: You can’t tell anyone on this site your truck has no sues because everyone knows they are death traps with blood dripping from their grills waiting to kill you the second you get in. The only way to ward off their evil plot is to cry, piss, and moan constantly to anyone that will hear you about what a piece of shit they are. This renders them powerless and you can then continue driving them in perpetuity even though you hate them because they suck and are trying to kill you...

Give me one reason why anyone would be able to own a tacoma?

I heard an 18 year old can walk into a dealership and just buy one...with no background check

I try to be a good person but I always laugh when I see these automatic transmission posts.

It's crazy that people pay extra for the Auto then pay for upgrades and tuning just to try to get it to function properly.

The auto is more expensive, more annoying and less reliable than the manual. Just get the stick, unless you don't know how to use one.

Whats less reliable about them? Lots of transmission failures or something?

    Stock and staying that way
I have driven around half a million miles in stick cars. I've drag raced, autocrossed, road raced etc. stick cars. I certainly know how to drive them.

That said, I much prefer a modern automatic, since I live in a big city, and sit in traffic. Automatics get better fuel economy these days too.

If you prefer a manual, good for you. But don't ever act like you have the high ground or insinuate others that don't make the same choice don't know how to drive a manual.

You're in one about performance failures right now.
If you want mechanical failures, I'd suggest you look at subforums for older models where you will find plenty of them.
