Sorry guys not much posting because I’m working out here in PA on a really big job at the moment and have been home for 10 days only. I used that time strictly for fishing morning and evening so I’ve been kind wiped out. So I haven’t had the time to put on my new exhaust from headers to tip and also that clutch job LoL. But here’s a few pics of “The Beach Walker” at some of my fishing spots while I was home. So stay tuned gang, it’s coming! Thanks!

 

I went with the 500lb spring. It’s stiffer than stock but soaks up the bumps. Doesn’t give me the cab roll/wobble on rocky off-camber roads

 

It’s been a little while since I posted as I’ve been a bit busy so this post is kinda useless lol but here are some updates plus some pictures of the truck how it sat right before I dropped it of to the body shop for a full freshing up.

Similar routes we're taking. I also went with oem wheels for that added comfort of knowing the wheels were made properly haha.

Back again with some updates on my little toy. The paint was decent for being nearly 25 years old. But being it’s my truck and they are very much appreciated here in Hawaii I decided it was due for a well deserved freshen up with some new paint. Highway chips on the hood and fillers were fixed, little dings were brought back smooth, as well as a decent sized expected rust just above my windshield was cut out and replaced with new metal. Body man said the truck was surprisingly solid in areas he thought would be completely hashed out for the early first gens. Shouldn’t be long from this moment I should be getting my toy back!

In the near future I plan on getting a new grill, new rear bumper and new interior carpet. Still have the plans to re-gear and add a locker but since I’m working on it’s appearance in and out I figured it would be best to finish what’s almost visually completed.

The taco is back from its makeover! Stoking that all the chips and dings are gone as well as the rust I mentioned in the last post. I’m happy the way it turned out. Its a very good job for a reasonable price considering the bodywork beneath it. Now I’m just gonna give it at least 30 days to gas out before I put the fresh “mango metallic” retro stripes back on it. heres a few pics of how it sits raw and naked white.

 

I dig this truck, and the Hawaii backdrops just add to the beauty.

Gosh dang it I like your truck. If you want to move to IL, you can take my second gen. I'll go to Hawaii and take yours. Even trade.

 

Where’d you get your body work and paint done? Been wanting to get my sun faded 2nd gen repainted and some rust removed, but I barely been on Kauai for half a year so I don’t know much places around here besides street image and auto unlimited.
