and one more final shot from the rear, with the winch installed you can see the fit. also most of the rear is welded in im not doing a full inside weld, i want a little flex in it otherwise its just going to crack or bend the frame if i were to hit anything.

btw on a side note i have my plastic inner fender zip tied up to the headlight and its creating some serious serious movement in the hood. at interestate speed its making me a little nervous. i would be so pissed if i was driving down the road and the hood ripped open.

got a lot of progress done today adding some extras .

started by cutting a line that follows the body line originaly this was touching the body during mock up.

here is the start of something its boxing in the end, fully boxing the bumper is not practical from a paint, weight or instal point of view, this would make it unreal strong.

alright im back now. really stuiped meeting.

here is 2 views the entire point of that little boxed portion was to hold this tab, this tab will hold the inner fender hopefuly this will keep the mud off the bumper and keep everything looking nice and stockish.

up next i finished welding the mounting brackets just connected the welds i don't think that i will be grinding these welds down, the front and easily visible welds have all been ground down, i am not inclined to risk grinding down these critical welds that i can not really access so easily on the inside to get a great weld on them. and they are hard to see once painted.

    What do yall think?

Huh? Can you explain what's happening?

I'm confused as to how a zip tie on an inner fender can affect the hood at all.

next the light brackets are fabed in, i fabed these in but i think that my new plan is to weld some tabs on that i can use something to hold the stock lights in, my birthday is tomorrow and i think that my girlfriend has gotten me HID lights so i think that i will try to use to stock fogs and order an hid kit to go with that.

its not the zip tie, the zip tie is holding the innerfender in a way that its acting like a scoop to force air up into the hood, at speed i can see a LOT of movement in my hood. interestingly if i go 65 its not that bad, at 75 its really bad. and if you have ever visited alabama u know that 65 is like not moving on the intrestate, these people are crazy.

Pic? I'm getting bigger tires this week and I expect to have to trim/move inner fenders to clear. I'd like to get a leg up on avoiding problems.

i dont have a pic of this and its dark out now i know this sounds like crap but i dont have a camera only my phone, I can promiss you if you have the stock bumper or an aftermarket one that does something with the inner fender this wont be a problem you have. i had completely cut the bottom (front lip where it attaches to the stock bumper and the stock bumper off) it was no problem. this is completely different. i will try to get a pic.

next was to finish the winch mount, this is what i was talking about earlier in the build. its 1/4 inch thick. This is where i ran into a big problem, my step drill bit broke 1/2 way through this so i had to drive 20 min to harbor freight tools when i got there i realized that i had forgoten my wallet, i had $8.25 in my change compartment. i had to flirt with the heavy manager girl for 15 min to get what i needed for that price.
