    Comparing everyone’s solenoid they all look exactly the same. Willing to be they are just like the pump being an aquatec. Maybe you got a bad one?

    I did some research on that idea. Before or after throttle body. A guy that had access to a dyno tried both. Post throttle body he seen more knock retard from the ecu. It was a turbo'd car. He attributed it to the methanol not mixing completely with the air. Causing different amounts of methanol cooled air entering each cylinder. Obviously a supercharger will mix the air completely.

    Well our S/C is a bit different. It goes through the rotors and a plenum with a lot of turbulence due to the roots design. so I can’t see why it wouldn’t even out.

    Id actually prefer to spray directly into the rotor pack if I could. That way you could reduce the amount of pooling from water hitting walls and the throttle plate.

    ok. So on that free supercharger. Here is the deal. The bearings went out. When that happened, The bearings bored the inner casing which caused aluminum shavings to go into the engine and frying the engine. That’s what I was told. Now the nose piece is good.

    Is there hope?

    Yeah. He got it fixed and bought a new supercharger. His old supercharger is on display at Toyteclifts in Denver. He pretty much said the only piece that’s re-usable is the nose, which has the threads for the nose support. It’s too bad because it looks new.

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    That would mean it's fucked. The casing could be repaired, that would entail welding the fucked section tall and boring then honing the rotor housing. If it came to my shop, it would be costly because of the TIG welding down a tall bore.

    Does anyone have experience or an opinion using Regular 87 gas with octane booster in a pinch? Thinking about keeping a can of BOOSTane Premium in the truck at all times. Then if a situation arise were Regular 87 is all that is available I could still limp home with octane boost.

    As long as it's a legitimate octane booster I don't see why not, but I haven't tried it. I've thought about doing the same though, keeping some in the truck in case I'm somewhere remote or rural where premium isn't available.

    the liability of saying “here we fixed it” for $2000 and something going wrong makes it not worth it.

    It really would have to be inspected by a machinist to see the extent of the damage is if it could be repaired and how thin the remaining case to.

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    Doesn't matter how thin the case is, it has to be welded back up to be machined to the proper rotor bore. It's not worth it, especially for an MP62. I'd almost consider seeing if you can have the remaining case bored to fit an M90 rotor pack instead

    Wish there was an easy way to drain the gas tank on these trucks. I would test a couple different octane boosters. Our supercharged engines are a great test platform.

    VP Octanium works great. It’s the only one I would recommend. It’s probably the only Octane booster made by a company that actually makes high quality race fuel and dozens of variations for any application.

    Got my Doug Thorley installed and they fit very well.
    But the EGR pipe doesn’t come close to fitting even though they said it would.

    The one that comes with the kit is for the black supercharger NOT THE GRAY supercharger. FYI

    So had to have one made and that was a huge pain for the muffler shop.

    I will run a Dyno next week to see what gains there are with the supercharger.

    It definitely pulls stronger. I’m guessing 10-15 more hp.

    I did this with boostane in a remote area of Oregon that I couldn’t get premium gas. It worked great. I didn’t have any pinging even in high boost.
