I am due to take mine in also. 2019 Sr5 with 1k miles. Truck pulls to the right noticeably at highway speeds. I have to counter steer to the left. I would imagine this service would be covered as its a brand new vehicle. Awaiting a call back. If its not covered, I will be taking it elsewhere.

I wanted to thank everyone! I was at my wits end and was ready to return the truck, which I had previously arranged with the sales manager. After reading all the posts on this thread, I decided to have the sales manager drive it and give it one more chance. The sales manager noticed the same issues and let me deal directly with the head service manager who hand picked one of his better and seasoned mechanics. Turns out WileECoyote's theory was correct... it was a radial pull. Tires swapped and now it drives like a dream! Now I can fall in love with this truck. Again thanks everyone!

    :humble:

:laugh::rofl::rofl::rofl: I worked for a tire shop for almost 14yrs... in the "garage" that is. We dealt with these types of issues ON/OFF. NOT that often, but when it did, that was the route we took to rule out the tires first.

Anyways, so yeah, that is why I had suggested that first.

Thank you OP for the update and very glad it got resolved!!!:fistbump::cheers:

HAHAHAHAHAHA, now that that is over with, are you going to buy King, FOX, ICON suspension? What about sliders and armor? You plan on doing any CMC's when stuffing 35's or bigger under your wheel wells? Speaking of wheels, what wheels do you plan on buying? Is there an LT setup in the near future? MY personal favorite... COMS (i.e. CB, HAM, GMRS, etc etc etc)!!!

Great to hear and thanks for the update. Did they get your steering wheel centered as well?

I purchased the Tacoma to be my platform/basecamp for my many adventuring expeditions (rock climbing, alpine climbing, mountaineering, mountain biking, and whitewater kayaking/paddleboarding) Originally I was just buying another tool for my hobbies but I'm quickly learning the Tacoma is so much more and a hobby within itself. I'm very excited to start modding but I'm new to this and have so much to learn. I've been reading and researching and for starters I'd like to work on lift and suspension. I'd love to go with Fox but not sure I can afford it I've heard great things about Ion. I was looking at Ion 2.5 coilovers for a 2.5" front lift and a add a leaf for 1" in the rear. Figured I'd change the front control arms as well. So far that is as far as I've researched.

Yes they adjusted the alignment again which fixed the steering wheel position but still had a very slight pull during their test drive. Then they switched the tires which fixed the the remaining pull to the right.

Dealers like to park the Tacomas with one tire up on a curb to show them off.

Nice man! You can now enjoy the truck

Also, kudos to WileECoyote for calling it. I would not have guessed the tires...

Also, just so that you guys know, a "radial pull" can be a "pull" or a "push". One can only tell what tire is the culprit when direction changes and then rotating one side only. If the pull goes away, then you know what tire is the culprit.

Other than that, pretty hard to tell.

A radial pull is caused by the belts in the inner layers not quite constructed correctly, from what I remember.

Anyways, again, glad I was able to help out.

About suspension, I have a 1st Gen and was thinking about going with Icon w/ extended travel and it sounds like the same/similar setup you plan on. I want to get Camburg UCA's. For the leaf packs, I want to get the All-Pro std leaf packs as I don't carry continuous heavy loads and hear so many good things about their std leaf packs.

Clear example of an untrained mechanic. Ask them to road force balance your tires and to do a four wheel alignment properly.

I apologize if you already mentioned it, but I didn’t catch it. Which tires were on your truck that we problematic?

Factory tires with 4 miles Toyo A30 P265/65/17 I'm assuming the front tires those are the only ones they swapped.
