120,000 on my 1999 v6 4x4 5 speed. I have to put in another water pump (yes this is number 2) but other than that I plan on seeing 4 to 5 hundred thousand miles out of this Tacoma. I am in need of plugs but I turn the key, it starts. It doesn't smoke or burn oil, I use good gas when I can afford it, always change my own oil at 5k, new air filter 2/3 times a year and fuel filter when I do the plugs. There is a reason these trucks hold value. P.S. They WORK...man I wish I had the rear locker...

    Small lift and a topper!
201,000 miles on my '96 V6. Love it! It drives great and has excellent power, and passed its emissions last year with flying colors.

Recently had a new timing belt put on and new clutch. No major repairs, just routine maintenance over the years.

Vehicle is used for around-town, some heavy hauling, cross-country towing, and light offroad.

Are you trying to destroy your engine? When that belt snaps (and it will), it'll take out all your valves and possibly more. Is the v6 belt or chain on this... chain makes more sense to me. If it's chain no big deal... but it still should be swapped out soon as chains do stretch and seize over time.

300 000 *km, I have not changed it because the 3.4 v6 is a non-interface engine so when it snaps, engine just shuts off no biggy. No flying valves etc

its a non iterference engine and it does have a belt

I would just change it out along with the water pump since its probably leaking by now.

well I didn't think mine was either but when I got the cover off there was about 2 fist fulls of dried up coolant built up all around that bottom pulley. That was at 146k miles on the original equipment.
