Metric is all base ten that's why it is so easy to covert, just move the decimal. Imperial is fucking retarded because everything is an arbitrary amount. A foot is twelve inches, but a yard is three feet, so on and so forth. It's asinine.

Oh we have metric hardware and taps but that's all minor. Sometimes a customer's parts that we make will have metric features. But we do all our measurements to make the part in imperial. But if it needs a metric thread or whatever of course we'll do that. We have tons of metric bolts and nuts and in all the weird sizes too.

Same at my work. Alot of our stuff is stainless and we just got the equipment to thread our own bolts and stuff. I'm trying to get them to supply me with full stainless bolt swap for the taco lol

Our military uses metric lol distance and units of measure. Idk about bolts for things like tanks, jets, helicopters and so forth

Because they aren't dumb, same with American auto makers, though they use all the metric sizes the Japanese never use like 13mm, 15mm, 16mm and 18mm

Which was the weirdest freaking thing when I first ran into it. Found a 13mm bolt head and thought it was shit work from a prior person that worked on it lmao. Turns out Dodge had some murican mixed with metric underneath it. Like a mid 2000s Ram

And I haven't found any 13mm on any Yotas Hondas or Nissans. It was intentional they don't use 13mm right? Stemmed from superstitious number 13 was the old wives tale.
The euro makers use 13mm right? I swear I remember some 13mm bolts on a Volvo I wrenched on
