So I "accidentally" ended up "mudding" today at salton sea. It rained here in socal Wednesday and I thought it would have dried up there (sand dunes and dirt) but nope it was damn slick and muddy.

Went to check out the old navy pier and half way it was starting to definitely get slick and slippery but I was already at the point of no return and committed.

Anyway i went alone (I know it was dumb) I did have a shovel and recovery gear including the ability to air down. However I was pleasantly surprised because I made it all the way to the pier and back with no major issues

I did get squirrely enough where I stopped and got some rocks just in case and there were 2 deep enough mud puddles I couldn't avoid on my way out I thought i was going to get stuck for sure but I made it.

Did not air down and was in 4 lo, didnt have to engage the rear locker or crawl control but glad options were available.

I normally hate mud (a major major bitch to clean up out of all the nooks and crannies) but had a blast.

    Work in progress...
Those seem to be some great tires. I saved a little bit of weight and went with the Hankooks but next set will be the Wildpeaks.

Been really considering these tires in that size! Good to have another positive report. Bouncing back and forth between these or the KO2’s.

Nice! I love my wildpeaks! Been in mud, snow, sand, and rocks and they’ve handled everything perfectly! Best tire I’ve ever had! Looks like you had a blast!

Azusa canyon is why I hate and avoid mud lol. Back when I had my jeep I would not give a shit and purposely get stuck there. With the taco I go solo most times and like I said I absolutely hate cleaning that shit out
