On another note, I replaced my blower motor/squirrel cage because it was making a distinctive noise. I got the complete assembly for $80 (stealership wanted $240) and my mechanic installed it for free. The good news is that my heat (and presumably the A/C, though I haven't tried that yet since I live in Southeast PA and it's in the 30s right now) blow harder. The bad news is the noise is still there...

So another mystery noise in my truck!

Well between my brakes squealing every morning, and my Dakar’s sounding like a f’king rusted country door hinge going down the road, idk what drives me more crazy. My truck is well built and sounds like a POS. I am almost used to it though.

Hmmm. That typically fixes the issue.

Nowhere near as bad as it was; I'm just proud of myself for getting the part for $160 less than the dealer and then getting it installed for free!

Sometimes even brand new brake will kind of squeak. Not sure on the rear drums but they sell anti squeek goop you put on the back of the front pads.
And that blower moter chirp is really annoying. You can take the blower motor apart and clean the brush dust out of it and grease the bushing and maybe it will go away.

I was happy to get my rack and pinion for 750 when everywhere wanted 850 to 1500 for the damn thing.

The bearing was going bad on the previous one. It doesn't seem like I should have to clean a brand new one. I thought that my cabin air filter was getting caught in the squirrel cage at first.

I put an electric exhaust cutout on my truck. When it's closed I can hear every stupid vibration from the windshield cowl rubbing when it gets wet to my socket set vibrating behind the seat. When it's off all I can hear is obnoxious motor noise. Ignorance is bliss and fun! Cut your muffler off and call it a day lol:drunk:

If it's new it shouldn't have any dust in it but the bushing might not have any lube on them. Theres 2 or 3 screws on the motor you can kind of adjust the bottom of the motor to get both bushing lined up more straight with each other and get the chirp to quiet down.

My truck's had an easy life...

I managed to jam the master cylinder in February 2014 during an emergency braking scenario. The good news is that I did not rear-end that person's Tahoe in the snow; The good news is that I had to get my truck towed and a new master cylinder cost $1,200 installed (back when I was a dumbass and still went to the stealership for everything)!

Some things are a necessity from the dealer... if you have to go through a dealer for parts. Camelback Toyota is a big help. Get a quote and most dealer will price match or just order from Camelback if you have the time to wait a few days.
Other than that, yeah the internet is a wonderful thing when parts shopping.

Part of the problem with my local dealer is that it's in Doylestown, Pennsylvania; Doylestown is an area full of impatient people with money to burn, so the prices at the dealer reflect this.

That's ok, just ask them if they will price match, if not, then call Camelback in front of them and order your part.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Is it a squeak that sounds kinda rotational? I’ve had aftermarket drums cause squeaks when coming to a stop.
