    After lurking around this thread for a while I pulled the trigger on a set of Cooper ST MAXX 255/85/16. Great info on this thread!

    I had to take the factory mud flaps off but no rubbing so far once those were removed (no lift).

    Nothing major. -3rd Gen OR suspension swap. -Trailer light plug relocation.
    I'm currently running 265/70R16 DuraTrac's that came on my '06 SR5 when I bought it and I think I want to go with a set of 245/75R16 but I'm not sure what make/model I want to go with so I'd like some recomendations/opinions. I live in SW CO so snow and slick conditions are important factors. Right now I'm looking at the Wildpeak AT3's and the BFG KO2's but am open to other suggestions.

    Also, if I bump up to 245/85R16's will I be at risk of rubbing?

    Good info and they look badass! Wish I could get someone with a 2nd gen to chime in on this size (or maybe I just haven't found it yet).

    I'm a huge fan of the Falken's (though you can't get em in a 245/85r16 or 255/85r16). I run the AT3's on my SRW Ram 3500 and the MT's on my feed truck. Can't beat the price! For an AT tire they have some of the best off road capabilities I've found while still being great for pulling and on road handling as well as snow and ice. It's worth mentioning it isn't an MT of course. But I prefer them to ST Maxx and DuraTrac (and other AT tires too). They don't look as aggressive, but are certainly comparable in mud (especially after the first 25%) and are better with snow, ice, load handling, pavement handling and wear resistance. I run the AT3's 50% on road and hooked up and 50% off road or on gravel empty. With the weight and torque and all the gravel I've been super happy with how they wear on the big trucks. They also maintain their performance at the lower end of their tread life. The other two I mentioned here are also great tires! I just found them to be "squirmy" for the first 30-50% of tread life. Then the off road performance dipped a lot as the on road performance improved. Again on heavier trucks too.
    Wish they made the Falken's in a taller 16" for my Taco!

    ARB Bumper, SOS sliders, SOS rear bumper, SOS skid plate. OME Lift. Some other stuff.
    No complaint from me. Have a set with close to 23k that are about done. Ive got another brand new set (thank you black friday) sitting in the garage on stand by.

    Offroad is where they shine. On road alittle loud as to be expected with a tire this aggressive. I recommend rotating every 5k with these to get max life out of them, I didn't which is why there about done and ready to be replaced.

    Thanks for the info! I've been hearing a lot of good reviews about the wildpeaks and the price is pretty enticing over some other options. The guy at the tire store I typically get my tires from didn't seem too impressed with the wildpeaks, but I kind of suspect it's because they're not one of the main in house brands.

    You bet. Given how much less aggressive looking they are, I can't believe what I've gotten away with. WAY better performance than the T/A KO's and General Grabber AT2's. They're definitely not a dedicated MT, but if ya gotta have a compromise, they're the best I've found. Even though my experience is with heavier rigs, one of the Denver shops I spoke to about Taco lifts recommended them too.

    Are you airing down for offroading? how low? have you had any issues[bead coming off?] I have scs 17x8.5s but I'm concerned about losing a bead offroad
