Tuff country control arms help my lifted 9inch Tacoma?

Tacoma CV's must be different than 1995 4Runner CV's. My brother in law's 4Runner had the right CV go out, I cut it in half, it fell to the ground, and he drove it for another year and a half without any problems.

 

That's cus he kept the cups in place

 

I put in the uCA I’ll find out tomorrow if how much it helped on the alignment

 

Atleast now the control arm isn’t against the strut
