I completely understood what he was offering. I got it and I too bought some fake cloned aftermarket non OEM and non real rigid Industries lights from China. Hell for the money, added real OEM Toyota Rigid Industries bezels these lights are as bright as my neighbors Pro. I got a set for $100 to my door. Sometimes the dock fees hit. Group buy for $140 is spot on. Hope I was clear enough!

Probably because you were prominent in the Albania fog light thread.

Like I said, just clarifying for anyone that “might” misinterpret what they were.

Probably doesn’t help that there are vendors on here that give decent deals. They probably don’t appreciate their products being counterfeited in China, then sold on a public forum.

Business is business, the best deal possible is what I want. Don't care if someone's feeling get hurt. I got the best possible deal on my Tacoma, sorry if someone got butt hurt because I didn't buy from them. That's just the way the business world is. I seriously doubt a set of lights that we buy from China for $100 is the problem, the real issues are someone that has the real deal lights know these are every bit as nice. I'm happy to have not paid $500 for a set when the Rigid Industries are not made in the USA, just designed.

This was all discussed in the other thread. I was speculating why the group buy thread was shut down so quickly. Your stance about the manufactures product rights was made clear.

Personally I don’t care as long as the buyer knows what he is buying.

From a legal standpoint, it’s still an illegal product in the grand scheme of things. That would explain why openly displaying a counterfeit product would result in a thread being shut down rather quickly.

Explain the law to me counsel. My interpretation it's illegal to sell as a real genuine product, not against the law to have in possession. I seriously doubt federal court has the time nor patients to try such a petty case and spend hundreds of dollars for that matter on a truck enthusist who is doing nothing more than enjoying his hobby. I think a Federal judge would not allow it not I think a Federal magistrate would even give you a warrant. Sometimes the letter of the law is not always followed.

Counsel huh? Sorry you got butt hurt because I pointed out they weren’t real to any potential buyers. You also seem offended that I speculated why the mods shut the threads down. No one said the FBI would knock your door in for trafficking. In the first half of your comment you say it’s legal. The second you say the law isn’t always followed or worth a courts time. The second is probably more accurate pumpkin. I simply speculated why the mods shut down the other threads based of potential legal reasons.

I promise it will be ok. I’m sure you can find your safe space somewhere. Good luck with your side hustle. Again I don’t really care, only pointed out they were copies to any one checking out the thread.

Lol. Not butthurt nor had my feelings hurt in anyway possible. No side business, just helping some out with getting a set of lights. Not worried about any threads or the feds. I'm a big boy and can handle what's said to me. You are entitled to say what ever you wish, that's your right and mine too! Good day.

It’s called intellectual property theft, and China’s IP thefts costs the US economy hundreds of billions of dollars every year. Us companies design, research, develop, test, and manufacture a part just to have some scum bag in China do a 1 to 1 copy with inferior parts and sell them for 20% of the cost of the originals. It goes against everything America stands for, it keeps companies from innovating, and it’s most importantly immoral. If you ever went through the process of designing and building a part from nothing, you’d understand how shitty it is. I always buy originals, I’ll never support counterfeits. It’s not about someone’s feelings getting hurt, it’s outright theft.

Call it what you want it happens all the time. The Rigid lights are designed in the US, but these lights are probably made right in the same factory. I respect your thoughts and opinions but as far as I'm concerned it a mute point unless you can change it. Its the same issue as a fake Pro grill, but nobody is bitching about the Chinese fake copies are they?

Rigid fog lights are not worth it, the led fog lights on 2020 are much better. They do have wider angle and better source out put.
They look like that under that link: https://parts.toyotaofnashua.com/oe...MI9s2v3faI6QIVBhatBh1_8AOkEAQYBCABEgIxmfD_BwE

I do have the blackout bezels and those are made by Valeo. The led fog lamps are like rigid plug and play and halogen bezel can stay. They can be also found on some Lexus SUV models and other brands.

On the top half of the bezel, there's a hole you can insert a screwdriver into and adjust them.
