Rear Airbags with 3AAL Questions

Hey new to the forum first post here. Came from a 2012 Sierra 6.2L and a long line of GM cars and trucks.
I bought a 2019 TRD Sport 4x4 and almost immediately installed the 3 leaf aal and 5100s (not a fan of the stock look.)
My questions are, Can I install this airbag kit with the stock mounting system or am i going to have to have some custom brackets made up?

Does anyone have this kit installed with the AAL?
I also plan on running the daystar cradles so I don't have to worry about keeping Min Pressure in them as I will not be installing a compressor and don't plan on hauling often (will need them for pulling a 16' trailer through the mountains to the other side of the country however)

Did you ever install? Curious as I just ordered some airbags and going to be lifting with a 3 leaf aal.

 

@pandonsf I haven't done it yet. haven't decided on weather i'll do onboard air or just the conventional fill spots. I'm surprised that i got 0 responses on this tho as i fele like a lot of people do pull trailers with their trucks.

Just got the eibach pro lift kit with wheelers 3 leaf aal. Ordered the Firestone airbags too, so hopefully will get to installing things soon. Probably gonna go with a manual fill, for less things to break over time. Plus I only two around once a month to get my car to the track.

 

Yeah i just hear you have to keep at least 5 psi in them at all times. I figured that would be annoying if you didn't have auto air. I also have read that the Daystar cradles are awesome!

 

Yea ordered those cradles too. Might change my mind and get the airlift compressor kit with the remote so you don’t have to mount the controller and gauge on the Firestone compressor kits

 

I want them but only when i can do onboard air and when i can figure out some sort of digital gauge that can be mounted in the center counsel or glove box so it looks clean and neat and I don't have this ugly gauge hanging off the dash

 

There’s an large thread that covers lifted suspensions with air bags. Also, not that many here tow.

 

I feel like like there is quite a few people tow either cars or campers at least occasionally as well as the "overlanders" that throw a ton of excess weight in the box and on racks that could be helped by airbagsC could you point us to that specific thread? I posted initially because I couldn't find it. TIA

 

I run air bags, with the cradle.


The only thing you might need to do different, is use longer bolts. The bolts that bolt the lower mount might not be long enough. I have seen spacer kits for lifted trucks that move the lower mount up 2-3 inch. I really don't think you will need the spacer with your aal. My buddy had a 2 inch aal with bags for a long time with no issues.

My truck is all stock, I was just flexing the suspension out in the ditch making sure everything works.

Thanks! I was reading looks like might needs these to prevent the bracket from bending under load.

 

I fill them as needed. I have each bag on its own line and ran the line out back near the bumper.
9/10 times I use a bike pump to fill them.

Does anyone have a whole "build sheet" on everything needed for bags on a lifted truck? Just curious if i'm missing anything because i didn't know these extensions were a thing lol
