    This site doesn't help that.

But really, I'd replace something in my truck in a heartbeat if it's compromised.

Especially when it's something critical like a rad. But you are talking to the kid who argued with us on how a Chevy 350 is easier to work on than the 5vz. And wanted to do a engine swap for that reason.

Yes you did and it's equal in terms of ease of working on. Not my fault you can't wrap your head around it. :luvya:

I'll just say this, older 350 SBC are stupid easy to work on.

Certain variations were a bit of a pain such as the 1 year only cross fire injection(those throttle bodies). Afterward with the L98 TPI it was easy again until they introduced the reverse cooled LT1 and LT4 with optispark and pain in the ass to get to spark plugs. Going with long tube headers helped to alleviate that but the water pump/optispark scenario was a bitch.

I've owned and worked on my fair share of Chevy V8s.

Haven't dug into the Tacomas engine though so I can't compare just yet...

See I can't agree or disagree.

The job may seem easy to me (on the chevy) at first only because of my extensive experience with the 350....but we'll see.

How? I can go outside and take a picture right now of my 5vz and it's no where close to that amount of work. At most it's double.

Bad radiator seems like somewhat an emergency.....but I get you. Was just giving you shit earlier; I don't like to neglect my vehicles cause they get me from point A to B and back reliably.

I wouldn't say more painful of a job, maybe more involved or more steps? If you turn a wrench and have a decent assortment of extensions, sockets, etc like a normal DIYer, it's prolly more accurate to just say the job requires more steps and time.

I really need to install a RMTR on the truck. Need to wire up my bumper lights still and put the LED light bar back on somewhere. I just hate doing wiring. :frusty:

Wait....I can get on that train.

One of those single shot uppers runs like 1500 whereas my LT would cost more than double lol
