Yessir he's a GSD and you are absolutely correct on the constant shedding. It's unbelievable the amount of fur. But hey that's my roll dog so we deal.

Very nice german shepard, they are extremely smart. I had a dog with my ex a while ago, was a pug, not my cup of tea.

I live in a condo now and we both work so we cant get a dog right now, i like bigger dogs too, really want mastiff. I need property for that. Average price for a small house here is a million bucks...:pout:

When you get your chance get one for sure! Best dog I have ever owned by a long shot! Super super affectionate but will protect your till the end. And when in the BC bush I’m a lot less worries about a cougar trying to drag him away lol! He loves riding in the back of the Tacoma so he also appreciates the 3rd gens!

Beautiful dog! Im jelaous haha. My buddy had 2 and i spent lots of time with them, thats why i want it. Too bad they only live like 10 years.

I just need a property... been really thinking of moving to the island, can get huge house for 500k. My sister lives there and loves it, she laughs at me that im still in van haha. If there was a good job waiting for me there, i would move tomorrow.

I couldn’t agree more! My plan is to move me and the wife up into the interior depending where I can transfer with work. Lower mainland you pay so much for nothing up north it’s the opposite only place a younger guy can afford in bc anymore sadly!

I agree. Traffic here is not helping things also haha. I drive quite a bit for work so it sucks sometimes.

Lol! Could not agree more! For a while I was driving all around the lower mainland and it’s crazy 12 years ago it would take 1/4-1/8 the time to get anywhere and it’s only getting worst!! I wish you the best of luck getting out of here. It’s sad I always thought I would stay around here but the older I get I can’t wait to get out! I have friends I worked with on the Tugs who moved away and they are in 100mile and PG and they have a beautiful house with huge land and can still afford trips and all the toys. My friends around here can hardly afford there mortgages and property tax! Sad sad sad!

Thanks man. Yea i came here in 2001 and everything was 3 times cheaper, i remember gas was 50c. The funny thing is wages are pretty much the same for last 20 years over here, pretty crazy. As soon as i find a good oppurtunity at the island i am gone, just got super busy and super expensive over here. We just really need a house, cant do this condo thing.

You worked at tug boats? Cool man, i actually got my bridge watchman at bcit in north van in 2008, but then that stupid recession happened and i couldnt find work on tugs, went back to construction. I applied to so many places, but they all either didnt reply or said "try next year" I worked as a deckhand on a luxury yacht for a summer tho, that was fun :D

Hahaha!! That luxury yacht would be a good experience. Yea I Did log towing on the Fraser for a few years and same sorta thing the industry is changing big time. Would work 30 days 1 month then 1 day for the next 2 months. I picked up meat cutting so I can move north and have my side work! I do miss the water some times but forsure not this time of year hahaha!

Yes it was very fun, i was single at the time so it was great! I worked there to get my sea time and after applied to bc ferries twice and nothing.

Well good luck getting outta here man ! I cant wait till i move .

Here is a pic of the yacht just for fun, was called spirit of 2010. Apperantly one of the owners got busted with a bunch of blow on that boat after i quit there.

You don't want to work for BC Ferries. You are part time for years, on call. Low pay. It isn't worth it. They use you and abuse you there. Happy not being there anymore. Great experience though.

My brother-in-law just moved his family to Nanaimo. I know it's cheaper there but for me it just feels like you are taxed to live there. Any vacation you want to take is a $120 ferry ride ( round trip ) just to get back to the mainland. I guess since I have always lived in the lower mainland I can't see myself leaving it.
