    on another note...think I found a good place for the next rally. I took a shortcut through the highlands south of Butte on the way home and damn that road has gotten bad lately. used to only take an hour to get through there, this time took me almost 2! Can't believe I brought my car on that road a few years ago. Lots of side roads, few chances for a hill climb, lots of ruts and rocks just waiting to snag a skid plate. Just an idea.

    most likely the same road, went in on moose creek rd and out on fish trap. erosion has gotten bad up there. first time ever that I thought low gear was too fast downhill!

    If anyone sees a decent looking 1st gen for sale around the state let me know - mom & dad are thinking about getting back into a Toyota. Got to be stock, 4x4, and low-ish miles. I think dad's just jealous of my Toy :rolleyes: and still regrets selling his 5 years ago.

    I was actually on their website earlier today - only listed a 2nd gen. Found a couple in Missoula that don't look too bad, just a matter of finding the time to go and look at them.

    That's a tough decision. It's too far for me to drive...So I may end up selling my truck and getting money to buy a new truck out there? Just like a small 4WD or a Subaru Outback. It'd be tough to part with my truck!

    Sell your truck? The horror! :eek: You will never be able to show your face around here again! Well for what used Tacomas are going for up here I would almost think you would be better off to drive your truck here. Same thing could be said for Subies, I had one of those too. Both are very high demand vehicles in this area and they hold their value. Besides, we just need more MT TW members....
