People that care probably check previous posts by members before buying from them. I don’t want to blast the OP’s integrity based on this, just turned out to be strange with timing of the posts. Little explanation would be good, but it is what it is.

It wasn't me that got them. I PM'd him with an offer and he told me someone had offered more plus pay shipping. So I asked him to let me know if it fell through.

He did tell me they were on his Off-Road but he put the factory ones back on. I was thinking they were off his Pro too. So who really knows what they were off of or if they were really OEM.

Rock Auto has TYC brand, CAPA certified tail lights for $83/ea for these with smoked bezels, $97/ea with black bezels. They were 2x this much last year. I doubt Toyota is producing these anymore, besides new builds, so this is what you'd get at the parts department, only they'd add a nifty Toyota label and OEM part number.

Not true. Toyota is still manufacturing the 81550-04200(LH) and 81560-04200(RH) factory lamp assemblies. They’re required by law to make parts available for a certain number of years after the end of the model production. If you go to a dealer for these, you’ll get the Toyota parts. I’ve seen them online for $135 per side though. That’s why I had pm’d him with the questions that I did. $275 shipped isn’t stupid out of line since you won’t pay sales tax or freight but they’d have to be like brand new take-offs to be worth that. That’s still pushing it.

I'm aware of how the law works. My point is, you can get virtually the exact same tail light set for $100 less than what the OP listed. Not trying to crap on his sales thread, but in his other thread, he wanted to know their value. This is a good benchmark. Additionally, if he sold them already, I was providing the info for others that are interested.

Edit note: I used to work for LKQ, and I sent many OEM takeoffs and aftermarket parts over to Toyota as 'OEM factory replacement parts' for their customers. Not saying they aren't producing new replacement units, but given the relatively low number of Pros and the small likelihood of them needing new tail lights, the OEM pool of parts would be extremely low.

Ok....so What more info did I need to post. There is a picture that clearly shows a set of Factory Pro tail lights. As stated in the title and in the post body. These "were in my trd off road" they are Factory pro taillights. I don't and I'm sorry I was more clear.

As for everyone going back and forth. the only person I got a message from was jester. Shaggy bowed out as I had a offer after his for asking price plus shipping.

I work. I answer and place people in line as offers come in. I'm sorry that I cannot answer all your questions. I posted in thread body "FREE OF DAMAGE" I am a bit put off by the damn I got screwed attitude to be honest. if you wanted them don't sit on your hands. send messages and respond to the responses I give asap. Money waits for no-one. I sent a hood across the country with zero damage and zero issue along with several other parts. I stand behind all my sales 100% and the second cash is in my account the shipping process begins.

I'm busy and answered posts and did my part. Sorry I didnt update asap. The second thread was not a for sale thread it was a question asking a price gauge and being a fair price. I did not take a single offer from that thread.

P.s These were bought direct from Prime Toyota. They are in fact the real thing. No way in any shape or from not direct from Toyota. I wouldn't state "Factory" as if they weren't genuine. I know people bullshit. I don't.

Only issue was you said sold on your other thread, and posted your PayPal info here over an hour later to take payment from jester, who hadn’t asked you until after you said you had sold them. I don’t care about if they are real or not, that’s between you and buyer

Correct I did say they were sold. I was also waiting for payment. I sent a PM direct to jester he didnt respond. So they went. Again sorry for the confusion.

I am also trying to understand what more in the plain English language I could have posted. I stated exactly what they were. The condition. which also you can clearly see. It's almost as if I am being accused and being asked to defend myself because "other people have lied in the past in their post" So I get the 5th degree because I didn't answer or post or hold someone's hand in the whole transaction.

I had 5 people back and forth in PM. that is where its easiest to keep track. I'll take all the suggestions into account for the next time I post a item for sale or the other items I currently have for sale.

    Happy holidays everyone.

Happy holidays, I never assumed they were fake, though description was clear enough. I had seen your post asking about pricing, then you said you sold them for 250. Then 90 minutes later Jester asked about the lights, you said they were real, and posted your PayPal info. If you can’t see how that looks odd, I can’t help you. Accusing you of nothing, but if they are sold, they are sold. If they are pending, they are pending. No harm done.

Agreed. I can see how that would be odd. A PM would clear that up.

For the record, your pm to me came in at 12:16pm, an hour and 45 minutes after you posted in the other non-sale ad that they were sold. That’s the problem I have. I responded to your 12:16pm message at 1:50 and 4:56 and didn’t hear anything back until this morning. Either way, maybe just handle for sale inquiries and updates through your for sale post. That’s all. Glad that you sold them and got what you wanted for them.

It’s good, can be a hassle selling stuff. Find I get my most messages after I agree to a sale. And you had info in 2 threads so it got harder to follow. So is the fair price 250 after all of this?

OP just take a picture of the glue inside the headlight, if its black its most likely OEM and if its white its Depo brand. Also you should post up the oem toyota marking behind the headlights.
