I come from the HL 1, Diablo 1 and Counter Strike 1.2-1.3 days (long before Steam ever existed).

Was always a PC gamer when it came to gaming online; but then I remember the 'hack' we had for the original Xbox to play online for "lan-only" games using XBConnect.

You'd use your computer and internet connection to join a lobby to simulate a LAN, and other's would connect and you'd play games online that were specifically meant to be played in person with multiple consoles connected.

    Gee thanks :burp:

Same here, I was playing CS and ran a Day of Defeat server before Steam came along. It was a good thing tho as it really helped weed out most of the cheaters.

Badass; what resolution are you gaming at?

Running dual 1080 Ti's for everything myself, but I'm still on an old Asus VG248QE gaming monitor.

That's how my town is; with Charger and Challenger 392's running at $35k brand new, every other person around here has one. Hell, I think I see more V8's than I see V6's out here.

3440x1440 or something like that. I have the Dell/Alienware 34" wide screen curved monitor. This thing is fucking insane.

Oh I agree it's annoying as hell when people deliberately wake up the neighborhood early in the AM with loud cars and motorcycles. Was just funny seeing it on the front page headline of their local paper

    That's why I don't go to Fry's.

I get to see some of their badass curved monitors and I must always resist.

Especially with moving into a new place next week, it's really tempting to up my PC setup since it's been awhile...

So you remember the Diablo item dupe craze... probably remember TFC and the concussion jumping medic/scouts.

    Loved TFC! So much fun!

This was my first new PC and monitor like this in over 10 years, I was due. Wanted to get back to PC gaming as well.

Oh man...Day of Defeat, I haven't thought of that game in a long time, brings me back. Between that, CS, and Wolfenstein I spent way too many hours on the computer in high school.

My neighbor has a truck he built an engine for and every damn weekend he revs it for an hour. That's it. Doesn't drive it or nothing he's blown that motor 4 times. And he's really good at his timing cause when he revs it I'm trying to sleep. And I can hear it cause of open headers.

The 80 series OEM brass rad is awful too, it can keep the old dying dog of a 3F-E cool enough but it can't handle the heat from a 1FZ in the slightest. Brass doesn't transfer heat as well as copper or aluminum to air.

If you was my neighbor I'd come over with a 12 gauge and mag dump 20 rounds right behind you. Just to scare you.

You would if I was shirtless in basketball shorts and barefoot yelling at you. Cause I did that to my neighbor's kid. Not the shotgun part but the shirtless. Little bastard went to mommy like I just yelled at a feminist group to get back in the kitchen.

Haha man, that damn bulb still worked. 32 years underwater and it still worked. Sylvania sure knows how to make bulbs. Unfortunately, it popped after a second of light because it arked under the ceramic fixture.
