2nd from last. Just saying what’s up while passing through. Mojave Road was a let down due to being pretty much a glorified fire Road with moguls that drove me crazy. Lol. Still extremely beautiful drive through the desert and lots of great pictures. Bucket list road to run for sure though.

The Mojave Road is an easy trip from beginning to the end. Lots of crazy things out there in the dessert. It’s a great camping trip with friends and family. Hit a couple of side trips and it make a great weekend. If you want to do a round trip you can hook up with the Bradshaw Trail ? Coming out by the Salton Sea.

Mojave Rd is awesome, I've done it twice and would do it every year if I could. If you go into it expecting it to be a technical 4x4 trail you'll be disappointed. It's a great chance to see remote parts of Mojave though and a ton of history, abandoned mines/homes, natural sites, etc.

I would be wary of other groups though because it is becoming more and more popular unfortunately

Agreed man! If you pick up the book “Mojave Road Guide” (like $25) and you read it as you go along (obviously not while driving, DATS DANJERIS!) then it explains the history of the trail and makes it more fun. Also bring your guns out there and you can have a really fun shooting session!

Oregon Trial............. 2019 Special Edition game. That’s how it felt if I’d shut the truck off and walk off the trail. The silence was the best part. I fucking hate humans. Lol

That's awesome, I bet the rain scared most people away. As much as I love Mojave Rd, it's become like the main rite of passage for every overlander in SoCal lol. It's nice to be on it for a few days and see only a few other people or none at all.

The Mojave Trail although a relatively easy trail but can change during heavy rainfall is a very fun and historical trail to run . Back in the early 90's Cal 4WDC Assoc had an adopt a trail program that maintained this trail . I participated in this program and helped clean up and restore this trail

I mostly did it for the historical part of it. I love history. Being able to drive the old trail that’s still around after so many years was pretty cool.

I really enjoyed seeing some of the old ranch and mining houses that were up and abandoned in the early to mid 20th century. Lot of cool stuff still in them to look at. I hope they stay that way and don't get pillaged by passerby's over the years. The old mining operations are fun to stop and wander around in too. Both times I ran it from The Nevada border to Barstow over 3 days and felt like I only got to see a portion of what was there.

I passed tons of things without stopping due to time constraints. Drove it in a single day never having to use 4X4 even after all the rain the area has gotten. Even slamming it out in a day I saw lots of cool stuff though. No idea why all the off road sites say it’s a minimum 2-3 day trip acting like it’s some treacherous road of death. Media hype and tails of bla bla bla. The Dalton Hwy in Alaska is the most hyped road I’ve ever driven. Lol

Yeah the 2 - 3 days is recommended if you're stopping to walk around and check things out. But otherwise it's just ~140 miles of dirt road which you could blast through pretty quick if you don't stop

You should have seen the condition of the Mojave Trail 25 plus years ago before CA4WDC got involved with trail maintenance
