    Hey Guys,

Just looking for a quick answer,
I’m hoping someone can runout and take a quick peak for me. I went through the FSM without any hints.

I purchased a 1997 Brake Booster and Master cylinder for a classic car build I am doing. I’ve powder boated and painted everything nice, now I’m just plumbing the lines. I want to confirm the rear master cylinder outlet goes to the front brakes, and the front reservoir outlet goes to the rear.

Thanks in advance, a pictures because everyone likes pictures.

I went outside and looked at my 99 model. Each line goes through a couple of T looking connectors. Yours is so much simpler than mine. I would be steering you wrong based on what I just saw.

Our brake system also uses a load sensing proportioning valve for helping control front and rear braking as well. I would venture to say the port closest to firewall goes to the fronts. I think that is what you were guessing as well. Here is a diagram I found but still kinda hard to follow. And looking at my brake booster in person won't help at all like guy above said.

I do appreciate the effort guys. Yes the FSM diagrams aren’t all that helpful.

As a general rule, the master cylinder reservoir which is larger would go to the disc brake to make up for pad wear, where as the drums are mechanically adjusted (automatically ususally). Sadly the combo resevoir is hard to checkout without cutting it in half. Lol

I’m using a non ABS unit which may make a difference as well.

You are correct the larger reservoir is the front brakes. Can you put a light behind it and see the divider in the res?
