It’s intermittent. Almost going away. Noticed it the most right after install yesterday.

so far I love it. Just drove 100 miles on highway and was super smooth.

Yup.....almost all dclb's don't have that problem due to the longer wheelbase and less aggressive angle.

Even though it is intermittent, you want to take care of it or your U-joints will wear out quicker and have to replace them on your driveshaft. It can get a lot worse. Better to figure it out now or it can cost you in the future.

Thanks, I'll try to figure it out soon. I need to get an alignment but giving it a week to settle in.

First step is what I stated above. Put it in 4wd hi while at 40mph. If it goes away only need ECGS bushing.

You don't want the needle bearing breaking apart shooting metal parts into your front diff.

It's so so faint. So tonight when I was driving I turned off the HVAC and radio and could barely hear/feel it, like someone would say I was crazy for saying there was a vibration. But yes when I engage 4WD it stops. My lift was 1.5" and I'm wondering if when it settles in a bit more maybe it goes away completely? Looks like special tools are needed?

It might settle. I replaced mine and it solved the vibration I had. ECGS also sells the tool to remove the old bearing.

Thanks its so faint that almost not noticeable. My new tires hum more than the vibration. I can feel it very very slightly though the gas pedal and seems to be a bit worse on left hand curves in the road. I'm looking for a loaner tool and I may just get it done to be safe.

Since you are waiting for the alignment I would do it now as you have to align after pulling the axle out. There are YouTube videos showing how to replace the bushing. Also I have the removal tool somewhere in the garage. I'll send it to you free if you pay the shipping. That's pending I can find it ha.

Does anyone recall what wheelers spring that some folks are running to achieve a higher lift without a higher preload?

There are only 2 different springs that are "approved " by Bilstein to make sure that you keep the manufacturer's lifetime warranty. One if them is the 600 lb spring E4-FD1-Y005B29, and the other is the 650lb spring E4-FD1-Z562B00. Some dealers and people substitute the eibach 650 or 700lb springs in the 6112 but this is NOT recommended from bilstein due to the voiding of warranty as well and the strength if the spring making the 6112 cause premature failure. The preload settings on the 6112 shaft will be for lift and are more than ok for comfort and lift. The 650lb is only recommended if you are adding weight i.e. skid trio, front bumper winch etc. I have the 650 lb springs due to my bumper and skids.

To add to this, they also do not recommend a spacer on top of a 6112. I have an email response from Bilstein, and posted it in this thread months ago.

Did they give a reason or any other details? I saw your post, it looks like Bilstein simply stated that they don't recommend using a spacer such as the clips are designed to take up for the lean. It wasn't stated that they SHOULDN'T be used.

I gathered they didn't want to give the go-ahead for a customer to use non-Bilstein parts on their products that they are not responsible for.

There's a difference between not recommend and shouldn't? They seem parallel to me.
