Its a good idea in heavy salt use areas. I did my frame a a few days ago. As you can see it needed some. Was a bit of work, seeing I did it in the driveway on ramps. Cleaned, wire brushed, sanded some. Then went through 4 cans of the stuff. For most 150-200 isnt a bad deal if you want to keep your ride a long time.

    Demon...no afters??

I wanted to see how it looks...I'm down south right now...but I was thinking about undercoating anyways. Water crossings and stuff...Plus general wear and tear.

^ You had to ask. Snapped this this am, before heading out in the first real exposure. 2 inches of snow already today and expecting a half foot or more...

VTragweed, let see the professional job. For you guys way down south would take at least a decade to get as bad as above. Not sure you would really need to do it.

Up here we don't have any rustproofers anymore other than local garages who will oil undercoat and even then its hard to find them, must be environmental or something for I know we still need it done in my area, my frame looks like Demon's Before. Cool you got it done, I'm jealous.

Demon did you use the stuff you were talking about at TN? It looks great and looking forward to the white stuff. Got to pre-season my sled, my chaincase is leaking for some reason in the trailer.

^xedge, Ran outta time, couldn't get the lift for the day, so no rust encapsulator. Used 4 cans of 3M's best rubberized undercoating. If it lasts a winter or two, I'm happy. Eventually will get that good stuff on there.

Good luck w/ the sled. May get mine out today for some lawn runs, easier to shred leaves than rake.

mine was $140, we've got a composite box...so really it wont rust. u should tell them that and not have to pay so much for them to spray the bottom of your plastic box.

i did pay an extra $50 for them to spray some waxy material in the door jams and all the lil cracks like between the tailgate n bed where salt will sit n eat your truck
