i am working on mine currently in Omaha, i have a compressor and a driveway if you feel the need to roadtrip, i am doing good work upside down :) have a 2nd gen and my old-as-dirt 1st gen almost completed
one more day of weather in the 50s though and no heated garage :(
hoping that the freezing temps will only be around here for a week so i can get the rest done, wheel wells, tailgate, doorjams, etc.

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
I was over there this morning. Muzzloading for deer near the Polk/St. Croix county line. I did make a run to Trollhaugen and saw a white 3rd gen TRD Bro and a black 3rd gen TRD Off Road with a nice lift and tires.

Goto an auto parts store and get 4 cans of fluid film. Wash off the underside and spray it on. It’s like a 10 minute job once the truck is washed.

10 minute job my arse!, there is a serious amount of surface to cover

    Rubber gloves. Problem solved.

I don’t know what’s so hard about this. I did 4 vehicles this year. Took an afternoon, including cleaning.

then those rubber gloves will get all slippery, i could hardly hold the can while doing my passenger front suspension

you must work really really fast if you coated the entire underbellies but exhaust
i am slow like a glacier i guess
took my time and enjoyed it

I finally broke down and did mine last weekend. I used 6 cans on mine....to much? It took me about 45 mins of actual spray time. Though I had to take several breaks cause its so smelly..lol!

the smell this time for me wasn't so bad, just the stupid slippery hands and staring at the yellow goop, waiting for it to drip into my ear.
not a whole lot of dripping this time, very minimal, which is good

I used 2-3 cans. Did the frame and all the suspension parts, doors and tailgate.

Yeah. Only part that can be a pain is if you wash the underside and then it freezes and is coated in ice.

I did things that you can spray from the underside. What road salt is gonna hit. Anything else I’m not really worried about
