Let me know when you do your rear brake lines, I'll order mine today and we can do them at the same time. I got my brakes all broken in (I think) I did 100 miles of city driving and four 60-10 hard slow downs. My brakes feel way way better than stock. While it's not a night and day difference, it is noticable enough to justify the purchase of the original kit. I'm very interested to see if the rear brake lines will be noticable at all.

I did not know that on the wheels, I thought the extra room after installing the BBK seemed like more than others. The 2 piece units are more ideal for their more efficient directionalized cooling design.

    Will do!

Yes, Toyota used the same wheel for the Tundra (with 5 x 150) which has 354mm rotors. I run them on my wife's Land Cruiser with the larger Tundra brakes.

Do you know what piston sizes are in those six pot calipers? I have some of the four pots coming w/ 355 diameter rotors, it might be interesting to compare what they do with the sizing.

Also, for non Atrac, the 2018+ Camry has what looks like, at this point, a bolt in master cylinder that won't require an adapter or line extensions.

I meant to measure the pistons but admittedly forgot during the install. Obviously the 4 cylinder versions will use larger cylinders than the 6. I’ll measure them when I redo the brake lines, I agree it would be interesting to compare.

Is the Camry master much larger? The Sequoia upgrade kit doesn’t cost much and is for a larger heavier truck vs a lighter Camry.

The Camry unit is either 23 ( same as 1st. Gen Sequoia) or 23.8mm (same as 2nd Gen Tundra), I have yet to verify.... that will happen this week. It looks nearly identical to the Tacoma unit, and should only require having the fluid reservoir swapped.

I’m curious if the caliper is the same between the 355 and 340 kit, such that next brake change I could just get the longer brackets and new aero rotors. There looks to be plenty of room to move the caliper 7.5mm back. Hmm.

Good question... I'll see if anything can be turned up.

Another interesting thing... the ST60 (which you have) and the ST65 Calipers appear to use the same body. Small spacers are bolted into the ST60 which allows it to use a smaller pad than the ST65. If the piston sizes can handle it, why not go for the larger pads of the ST65, too? Might be worth looking into?

Interesting. I don’t have a picture of the inside of the caliper. Do you have an image of the spacers you are referring to? The pads on the ST60 are already quite a bit larger than stock, how much larger are the ST65 pads?

Here are the calipers and pads. Note part 8 on each caliper, those spacers hold the smaller pad on the ST60 1st pic.IMG_3131.jpgIMG_3132.jpgIMG_3129.jpgIMG_3130.jpg

Interesting. Where’d you get the diagrams? Ever since StopTech was acquired by APC the APC website is much less useful with less technical information available than the old StopTech site.

Agree with you on that! The new web page is much less useful. These came from a google image search... dealers with replacement parts and info are starting to become much more accommodating.

Real fun is gonna be the 5am bedding.

    Edit:

So 5am bedding turned into a 4am bedding cause I was up at 330am for some God forsaken reason.

    Attempt 1 - 6 times @ 55/60 to 10ish

    Attempt 2 - 5 times same

    Attempt 3 - 8 times

Attempt final FML get this done - 10!!!!!!!!!!

Check rotors seem to be "even" but that's with the wheels on and a cellphone flash light :crapstorm:

Note:I drove for about 10 min between each attempt giving brakes enough time to cool down in this freezing weather
It's now 518am. And I might take a nap. Maybe do another brake line flush tomorrow/today.
