The Upper Control Arm is labeled 6

The Lower Control Arm is labeled 11

The Lower Ball Joint is labeled 16

Not necessary if you look at the diagram; it's painted black the same way the control arms are painted and over time, dirt/grime will strip it away.

Jay, you don't need to replace it unless it got bent/damage in an accident.

You are overly stressing yourself to replace something that doesn't need replacing.

Yeah it would make zero sense to replace the spindles unless you fucked them up hitting a curb going 50mph. Or if you were upgrading to gusseted ones

I thought for sure I bent a spindle once hitting a rut offroad that yanked my trucks steering hard the opposite direction and totally F'ed my alignment. Spindle turned out fine though

Well now you learned something; don't try to replace it lol

Pulling off your spindles will mean pulling off your wheels, supporting your spindle with a strap of some sort, undoing your upper ball joints from your upper control arms, undoing your lower ball joints, removing the 34mm bolt and whatever snap rings attach to the axle end, etc @eon_blue can chime in, undoing the brake caliper and lines and tabs associated, and swinging out your spindle.

Lower ball joints if you have about 100k on your current ones; instead of replacing my upper ball joints (cause I need to) I just went and bought new Icon upper control arms.

So uh, I have a turbo designed for a 3.3L V6 in my garage and it's got a water cooled center. Anyone else thing thats a good enough reason to turbo a 5VZ?
