Cool, I’ve never bought a “nice” set of lights so I didn’t know for sure.

Anyone regret buying these lights? Opinions. I’m torn between these or a full retrofit. I love the blackout look of these. As well as the drl. I like the performance of a Lexus retrofit but don’t like the still chrome high beam bowl/turn signal bowl and lack of better drl.

Anyone have any details on the "fuse tap" required to run the sequential signals on a Canadian model TRD?

Ready to pull the trigger but curious as to what is involved in that "tap"

I took mine out of the box to look at them today before they go under the tree. They look beautiful. The fogs look very nice too. I’m pretty stoked to install them.

Was in the same boat. I’ve had really nice HID retros on my last 2 vehicles and I’m pretty used to having good looking, awesome performing headlights.

I’ve heard a lot of reviews say these are 100x better than stock but not a lot of comparison to HID retro aside from a mention that a retro is in a different class. I assume they’re THAT different....?

Good question and it’d be interesting to hear from someone who went from, say, an RX350 retro to these.

Honestly I am not impressed with the output of the lights, the thing that sold me is the DRL and sequential turn signals.

A customer mentioned a great analogy I'd like to reuse: "A retrofit is like a gaming computer you need to build. XB LED headlights are like an iMac. You can tinker a small amount, but it's pretty much as-is. Just depends on what your objective is."

No it's not as bright as a retrofit--yet. We're always looking at ways to bump performance more.

Thanks for the reply and analogy! It sounds to me like if there were a spectrum with OEM halogens on the far left (0-zero) and an HID projector retro on the right (100), these would fall about 75% between...
