I'm sitting at 20,000 mi. and haven't had to re-balance them, at all, with regular, 5,000 mi. rotation intervals. I'm getting very even wear and am expecting to get a little under 40,000 mi. on this set. I could probably milk them for a tiny bit more but I'll most likely replace them next fall before ski season. The noise seems to have more or less leveled off after the first rotation (maybe an ever so slight increase). It's still totally livable.

So I was finally able too take the truck out to play. Aired down to about 15psi. Got a nice little bulge and went ripping down trail.
So one of the local play areas is called Butcher Jones . Its by a man made lake has lots of sandy/pea gravel dry washes and a bunch of loose and dry hill climbs.
So its pretty fun to go blasting down the washes and cut through the turns.living the baja dream. 25mph feels like 50.
So the only real negative that I found with these tires was the they had a tendency to plow in the loose sand. But that Could have to do with the air pressure i was running. Maybe a higher pressure would have resulted in better turning. Also they did dig a bit in the loose sand but that's to be expected. Never felt like I was going to get stuck. The did push forward and would eventually get on top .
I'm basing this against the bfg at's which I ran at the same psi. Had more bite on the fast turns on the loose washes.
Everything else the geolanders were awesome. Climbed well didn't really spin the tires and were comfortable cruising along the bumpy trail.

I'm looking to grab these in a 285/70-17. I've always had good experiences with Yoko but it has always been high performance summer tires on pony cars. Interested in hearing more long term reviews concerning wear and balancing. Mine will see sand and mud duty, about a 50/50 split, so I'd like to hear some more sand reviews. Yes I know a mud tire is not ideal in sand but for the 4 or 5 months of ridiculous mud I deal with I require a mud tire, no compromise. The rest of the year I'm hitting the beach.

Fat and dirty!! 24 psi was definitely better for directional control in the sand. Man these tires really shine in the hard rocky trail with the soft side wall they really help soak up the bumps and just grip.

They don't bulge out to much with my lite..ish truck. this is right before being aired back up.

Watching the thread as I plan for my next set of tires. A couple more years yet but these look promising!

Anyone noticed that these tires dropped in price significantly? I remember seeing these tires in the 35" size for ~$320 and now they're $237 at discount tires!

Does anyone have experience with Stt Pros and can compare these to them?

Nope. I want the 255s and they never seem to go below $220-230 :(

Anyone running these in 305/70/16? Trying to decide between 285/75/16 and 305/70/16.

I’d like to hear how they measure out, true to size? Debating between 285/75r16 and 315/75r16.

305s are tempting, I almost wish they had a 295 option.

Looking at these tires as well in a 295/70/17. My first pick has been the KM3, but these are 100 bucks cheaper a tire!

    I DID IT.

5- 255/85/16s on order at Discount Tire!

Decided to jump on the minimal Cyber Monday deal as I dont see getting much better on such a specific tire.

These tires are absolutely fantastic. They perform off road very well in all conditions. They even are impressive on snow packed roads. I run them in 255/85/16 and have ran them in 315s too

I'm considering swapping the st MAXX 255/85 for these yokos. Are you still liking the ride on road? I'm finding the Cooper's to be way too stiff
