Yes you can call them but it will NOT be part of this GB. I repeat, NOT. They are requiring a set of covers be ordered with this GB to get the free console cover.

If you wish to call, do so separate of our GB... I don't want to annoy the Manager with little issues that are not doing the group any good.

Wow man thanks for acting like a total dick about it. I never said I wanted anything for free, I'm perfectly willing to pay for a product. I'll go through my own way of getting it, however. Good example to set for TW. Ass.

 

No need to get hostile now. If you knew the shit JB3CK has had to put up with this GB so far, you'd understand where he was coming from...don't take it personally.

You're right, since you already have your covers you're probably just better off calling them instead of waiting with the rest of the GB. I'm sure WO wouldn't have a problem selling you just that.

1. He IS NOT being a "dick" or an "ass" at all about it. You inquired about getting some console covers, which we are getting free with our order. It seemed almost as if you wanted to just get the free console cover.

2. He IS setting a good example for TW showing that you can save more than $100 through his coordinating of a group buy. you wont find a deal like this anywhere else.

 

I may have overreacted with the insults, but I do not appreciate it when folks insinuate that I am attempting to somehow swindle people. Nor do I appreciate being talked down to like I am a fool. That is how his post came off to me.

I already GOT my discounted covers, I love them. I was offering to pay for a console cover but apparently that's too big a deal. That's fine, it's a big order I can understand not wanting to deal with the extra hassle. But that doesn't mean I need to be addressed like a child.

My apologies for acting like a prick, but in return don't put words in peoples mouths and assume they're idiots.

Why come into the Group Buy thread to talk about getting a console cover when your post clearly states you already got covers? I'm not ignorant, I don't want to ruin this and the Manager at WO says this happens all the time and for me to watch out for it. So excuse me for trying to keep order.

Your post from the start made no sense.. you will be addressed like a Child from now on since you can't watch your language in a Group Buy thread. So in reality, you are the one that is doing TW a disservice. I never belittled you or said anything rude, I said that what you wanted and requested will NOT happen. Simple as that.

I can see it where you call and say "Hey WO Manager, this is XXXX from Tacoma World, so.. I ordered covers from you guys and see this group buy going on and want to get a console cover! Can I get one at discount or better yet, free like the rest of the people?"

Guess who he will email and ask "Where did this guy assume we are handing out free items? How is your post worded? I have enough on my plate running this business, this isn't charity" That's right, me...

I'll gladly see you leave this thread, unless you have something worthwhile to contribute.

 

I wanted to do it and it's something that needed to be done since this is the most widely requested GB. When I saw nobody stepping up to do it, I wanted to. I posted reminders throughout the thread on how to do the process of contacting me since many didn't read... it's not my way or the highway, I'm just asking that when I have to receive nearly 250 emails that it be in a somewhat orderly fashion... so that makes me a Control Freak? Interesting logic.


All along i asked the email to be subjected using the WORDS Tacoma World Wet Okole Group Buy. Capital letters, lowercase, ALL CAPS or not, just those words...

it's not hard to do that favor for me when I am coming home after an all day work shift to 20 emails + a day for nearly a month and entering them into a rather larger spreadsheet so that person can get included.

I'm throughly enjoying the process because in the end, we will be happy.. sorry you are not?

I apologized for my earlier statements, what more do you want? There was no reason for the attitude I initially received, and none for the words I gave in return. I was heated, should have deleted the post before I hit submit.

However, I fail to see how my initial post didn't make sense. I received a set of covers, less the console piece because I forgot to inquire about it. I only asked if it was possible to order. Seemed like a fairly legit question (at the time). The response I got was...less than professional.

I did not mean to imply you were somehow ignorant (and sorry if I did, somehow). I never implied (or expected) I wanted anything for free. I only asked about the possibility of ordering the console cover alone. Obviously that is not a possibility. Fine, no problem. I can work with WO myself.

Anyway, sorry for the minor thread derailment.

 

Just Sent Email, called WO and confirmed they ship to Canada, so I'm happy.

One thing I was surprised to see is that noboday is talking about doing the camo version. On their gallery there are lots of versions that have funky patterns for the middle and black side panels, but only saw pictures of colourful patterns, no camo. Anyone got any camo desires or pics?
