I think the late 05-06 tundras look the best. Just a little bigger than a 2nd gen Tacoma and nicer. The 07 to present tundras just look weird to me not very proportionate to me.

Getting a late start this morning, but pork butt is about to go on the smoker. Sure is nice having meat back on the menu.

At least SC has a max cap. Imagine paying 9% sales tax. At least when we trade, we get credit; let’s say I trade 30k car for 40k truck, I only pay the sales tax on the 10k.

also, I’m not sold on diesel. We don’t tow anything heavy enough to warrant such an expensive purchase.

Diesel gas mileage may not be any better than the 4runner. Plus add in the cost of DEF. Mehhhh. Think about the yearly property taxes on a $50k truck...

Ryan’s PW is paid off, we can tow up to 10k, and only gets a few less than diesel MPGs around town. Not worth getting a new truck for a long while.

Higher miles than I would have preferred (160k) but they run forever like any other Toyota product, plus its ridiculously clean and has only been serviced at the dealer.

Got to work today and tires are peeling apart on the front AND rear. Wasn’t doing this before the alignment. Made another appointment at Firestone in Columbia so I don’t blow out a tire on my way home. It’s so bad the tires were screeching when I’d change lanes on the highway. I don’t understand why they can’t even get the alignment close to where it should be. Very frustrating

Random question, what’s your fender to hub measurement up front?

    :notsure:

It needs to have the front shocks adjusted for a little more clearance, but i'll measure it in a bit when I go out.

Thanks. About to take some preload out of my coilovers to try and help with the alignment nightmare. I like the way your truck sits. It looks good

To replace the Tacoma, a Rzr. As a DD, a King Ranch or a newer CrewMax.

22 and 1/8th from center of hub. There is so much weight on the front that it would sit another inch or two higher otherwise. An aluminum front bumper may be in future if I keep the truck.

i ran with my toe completely out of whack for a few thousand miles. It absolutely destroyed my tires on the outer and inner tread/lugs. Good thing they need to be replaced anyway.

Those tires look more aggressive on the sidewalk than I thought they did. How do you like them so far? Can you hear yourself think?

Quiet and straight. It's a night and day difference over the STT Pro's.
