What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Actually false and false. They both filled up with water and condensation and the powder coat started to chip away and rust within the first 6 months. I didnt buy there ditch lights because auxbeam sells the same thing for 100 bucks less. Those are surprisingly working fine. I got tired of dealing with a shitty looking light bar and bought a nice one. I never thrashed there customer service. Just the quality of a product

 

Wired up the

$63 axxess aswc-1 steering wheel control interface

axxess aswc-1 to the headunit and i now have oem steering wheel controls. My Tacoma never had it, so piecing all the necessary parts and to have it working is very satisfying.

 

Plus, the light bar brackets, fog light mounts and ditch light brackets all rusted out in the first year. Until I took them off, sand blasted them and did it properly. Now they are fine. I can shit talk anything I please. Especially something i spent good money on that ended up sucking

 

I am curious how your lights rusted when they are aluminum houseings

for the record I have Baja designs lights and some rigid back up lights. Now those are some bright fuckers.

 

Probably totalled after today. I was stopped at a light and a guy coming the other way ran the red light and t boned a lady in an SUV. All of it came across into me. My radiator caved in and all the fluid ran out. The dent in the back is from my trailer whipping around and slamming into it.

Air bags didn't deploy, which was kind of concerning. I guess it just didn't hit it right?

I managed to get the topper off before the tow truck showed up and hopefully can go tomorrow morning to the yard and get my sliders off.

Feels pretty shitty after all the work I put into it. Everyone was okay though. Sad day.

Got my 7100s mounted, and finished my BAMF shock relocation. Bump stops go in tomorrow afternoon. Also taped off where I’m going to cut for my new HC bumper. Should be ready in a week or two hopefully!!!!

Nope I’m going to cut it most likely tomorrow after work. My truck isn’t my daily anymore it sits in the garage usually, First time it has seen the sun in 3 weeks lol

 

I've never had any issues whatsoever with my caliraised light bar or ditch lights. Year and a half later, paint is good as new and no condensation.
