Nice, what tires are you planning to go with? I drive a lot of highway miles and plan on upgrading to the Toyo Open Country A/Ts.

I really think I may go with the Toyo R/Ts. They should be agressive enough for what I'd ever need but still have a nice warranty. It's like 50k miles or something. That's pretty tough to beat for such an agressive tread. The M/Ts look cool and all, but that's a lot of tire.

Several of my friends have run the R/Ts and M/Ts, and the R/Ts have always outlasted the other. The M/T doesn't always perform the best too depending on how many highway miles you've already put on them.

I've been tempted to get 17" rims to open up my size options, but that may be more than I end up doing. I figure I've got ~10k miles to decide.

Looks good. Don't forget to get an alignment if you haven't already. Are you planning on going up in tire size, too?

A lot of people misunderstand the use of the tape. It won’t prevent rodents from nesting. They can live right next to the tape with no issues. It will only deter them from chewing through what you have covered with the tape. As far as it’s intended use I’ve found it to be pretty effective.

If I didn’t have to drive so many highway miles, I’d be looking at something like the R/Ts, Duratracs, etc. but my Tacoma is like my company car. I own it, but get reimbursed for mileage and about 80-90% of my miles are reimbursed.

A big reason for the Toyot A/Ts is that they’re available in a load range C. I’ve had LR E tires before and they are too heavy and ride too rough on a Tacoma.

I think so. The stock tires end up being ~30.5" I think, and the smallest size R/T you can get on a 16" rim is ~31.5". Not crazy increase, but those are load range E. If you have 17" rims, I believe you can get a comparable size R/T but in load range C. I'd have to look again honestly. That'd be my only reason to go with different rims. It may be worth it. It does seem excessive to get the same ply tires for my truck that my best friend has on his 3/4 ton diesel....

Funny enough, I took it in for an alignment and they didn't have to adjust it at all. So they did it for free. It's a new place right across from my work, and I think they're trying to build that customer base, you know. From my early miles, I like what I've gotten from dobinsons.

Ok, deal of the day, and yes the price is right, I called to double check. $15.26 after 100 dollar instant rebate. I can't speak for the quality of the product, but hard to go wrong with the price if you need a truck bed bag or have a rack.

Such a beautiful day today. We went and flew around the hunting leases and saw a bunch of deer....probably should have been in the stand instead!
